when is the time for calmag? just thru veg ? curious ...
im using city tapWhat kind of water are you using tap for the city, tap well, RO, distilled water?
most municipalities have annual water reports see if you can get it online it should have a breakdown of how ppm you are getting from them along with many other water related details ie cal and magim using city tap
Don't know if it is true or not...most municipalities have annual water reports see if you can get it online it should have a breakdown of how ppm you are getting from them along with many other water related details ie cal and mag
In your tap water...its calcium and magnesium carbonates. And they say not very absorbable because carbonate molecules are too large to pass through the Caspian strip. But what has always puzzled me is if thats the case..then how come if you take out the cal and mag carbonates with a reverse osmosis filter...if you dont add back (in the more plant friendly nitrate form) you can (and highly likely) run into a cal or mag problem down the road? And on top of that...if anyone has a bottle of GH CaliMagic on hand....look at what they use for calcium? Yep...calcium CARBONATE. And its a popular calmag..and it works. Anyone care to explain? Cuz iam stumped on the whole cal and mag carbonate. What gives?Don't know if it is true or not...
I was told the cal and mag in water, hard water, is not in the right form for plants to use.
Hard water is not a good supplement to fertilizers.
I live in a very hard water city and add cal/mag to every feeding.
would dyna gro be better than gh? im doing soilless in peat based medium ... gonna feed synthetic, was told by an experienced friend of mine that gh was a fine nute system ... comments are appreciatedThey also have in the past a problem with consistent batches of the Flora Series 3 part. Like guaranteed analysis being WAY OFF and different from bottle.to bottle. ...batch to batch. This was especially a problem when they were gettin General.Hydroponics Europe going back in the day. And yes...GH was notorious for using the lowest grade salts for the longest time. They still do actually. Back in those days they could get away with it because they were the only really big player in the nute game for indoor dope growers for a very long time.
They arw both just fine for growing....anything really. Especially something simple like cannabis. Either or i say. But if your a beginner i would lean towards a one part like DynaGro Foliage pro. Its all you need. One bottle to rule them all. Nothing else. Especailly newer growers. Dont complicate something that doesnt require complication. And btw....all base nutrient brands will give very similar results. Jist aboit all of arw a complete full profile nutrient. People that diss this or that brand just didnt knlw what they were doing with the strain and room and nutrients they were using. There really is no "better" nutrient. Alot like sport shoe brands. There all shoes...and they go on your feet. What you do with them after that is on you.would dyna gro be better than gh? im doing soilless in peat based medium ... gonna feed synthetic, was told by an experienced friend of mine that gh was a fine nute system ... comments are appreciated
Yeah. Keep it super simple. Your already on the right track. A peat based soilless mix like Sunshine or Promix and a bottle.of Dyna Gro Foliage pro or the regular Grow and Bloom. Super simple. Great starter system to learn and base from...and grows excellent buds if you got a good strain and a decent room and light. ALOT of pot has been grown with DG and Promix.would dyna gro be better than gh? im doing soilless in peat based medium ... gonna feed synthetic, was told by an experienced friend of mine that gh was a fine nute system ... comments are appreciated
i am thinkin bout 6 plants, finishing in 4 gal smarts .... kinda like sea of green with 600 watt hps ... not exactly a beginner, not exactly super experienced, but have studied quite a bit ...Yeah. So what shouldn't you use high doses of?I use calmag through veg and usually halfway through flower. I then switch to epson salt as my mag/sulfur. Adding PK boosters at the end in high doses can lock out calcium. What medium are you in?
I guess the plant just ignores the small(tiny for most) amount of calcium that comes from the water. That calcium is fake calcium.Don't know if it is true or not...
