I have moved it around to a few different places and it has not really made a difference. For my next grow I will be trying to find a better solution for monitoring the temp and humidity. I would like to log the data so I may go with an aduino and some probes and see what I can come up with. There are a lot of options out there though, I need to do some more research.I see your thermometer strapped to the corner pole!
Have you tried leaving it in the canopy for a bit, to check the corner is a fair representative?
I have not tried one of those but you should be closer than I am at 80x or even less for that matter, I am not familiar enough to say for sure though. The biggest difference is really going to be the sensor and glass. I assume the sensor is less than 1 megapixel (1280x960) and the lens fairly small. The picture it produces is going to be a lot less clear and lower resolution than a digital camera. If you have decent digital with a zoom lens (I am using a 200mm for the ultra close shots) getting a macro conversion lens is only ~60 bucks and it will get you very close. The very close up shots I posted are just crops from the full size picture (4912x3264) so only about 5 percent the size of the full picture..I've had a USB microscope a good while now but I can't seem to get as close to the trichomes as shown in those pics in this journal . it's 80x too ! prolly doing it wrong
