So I mentioned that a thread is needed for a general rambling, or perhaps just a constantly shifting and flowing of general conversion that isn't bound by a specific thread subject. So @PicklesRus kindly created one. So feel free to discus anything...

so going back to my strip lighting, i remeasured my space, its 55x30. So im thinking that 8 - 4 foot strips should do it. But i have no idea what the requirements for squash are, so i suppose ill know if this will work in about 70 days.

i'm going to pretend that it does. but honestly, i don't know. they got 190 cucumbers out of what looked like a cheap ebay 4 cob setup. that's crazy. i hope my stuff will be in this week, so i can build it this weekend.

so instead of buying a new grow tent, i think i will make one. anyone have any success doing this? the 2mil mylar looks to be a good price, but it might be a pain to work with because of how thin it is. Thinking maybe the cloth backed stuff.

Of all my favorite things regarding creating life.. my favorite is walking into my veg room and lifting the lights 3 clicks every morning with a nice cup of coffee.

So i have a scientific exercise. Suppose you wanted to turn a 20x20x8 room into one massive grow room. Basically you could drop a plant anywhere and it would be fine light wise. What lights would you use? LED, HPS, MH? How would you lay it out?

what medium would you use? coco, dwc, aeroponics? some combo of the both?

Not putting all my eggs in one basket... 4 lights two plants in rooms 12x8 in different locations mixed with 600s and 315s 1:1 ratio.. no power extremes making waves. Pest problems localized. Half the rooms running tupur on autopots and half rdwc. Just my opinion.....

LED, for all the same reasons it's better for vegetables; @Stephenj37826 would know the needed CCT range better than me.
