This guy's build is perfect, and it's the exact same concept of the Current Culture. The only pain is ordering custom made rubber grommets from a rubber store, in place of the uniseals... (you'll see in that thread, they ARE still in business and taking orders, in case you're wondering!) it's worth it though, uniseals can be a leaky fuckin mess.

5/8th tubing is a bitch and will get clogged. Note the lack of pre-filter on that, this will cause whole system failure within 1 crop cycle if you have big root or debris in the rez.

All I know is ordering from Mbfert has been nothing but a NIGHTMARE! YOU will have missing parts, nutrients no weight correctly, etc. Hell...I'm still trying to get my 4 lbs for mono phosphate from them lol. I order 5 lbs and was charge for 5 lbs but only received 1lb??!!! That is just my experience with them and never again!

home depot/lowes build it yourself. need a large airpump or 2 for all the buckets from an aquarium online store

I've checked those out lol was looking for cheaper. Can you not have a reservoir with a pump I'm a DWC setup?

when you add the pump it becomes rdwc (recirculating).
whatever the water level is in your control reservoir is the water level in each bucket.
what is your budget?

I'd like to get a decent one for around 200 also my growth and is 5 x 10 x 6.5 how many sites do you think I can fit in there

not a chance for only 200. you really need a aquarium chiller with rdwc/dwc so that's a few hundred just for that.
maybe check out craigslist for something used would be my suggestion with that budget.
5x10 is big. you would have to keep them short since your height is only 6.5. maybe 10 to 15 plants roughly?

I'm growing in my basement temperatures are pretty cool I have 2000 W raptors and 8 inch hurricane fan and I was thinking of the one around 10 to 12 plants also I wasn't thinkingheight would be an issue because I am going to be scrogging what is the benefit of having a RDWC over a DWC ?

yep, scrog would work to keep your height down.
rdwc: bigger reservoir/amount of water helps keep pH and EC/ppm stable. also, the actual movement of the water gets more O2 to the roots. if you get root rot, all plants usually get it. harder to do different strains since you have to find a nute regimen that works for all of them.
dwc: you'll be adding water to each bucket at least once maybe twice a day as the plant gets bigger. if you get root rot, your other plants don't necessarily get it. you can do different strains easier since you feed each plant what it needs.

i built one of these i have it in my garden its a 6 site system with 7 buckets . with all the buckets connectors and pumps etc its cost me about £600 to build. these are the best systems i have ever used .
As you dont need loads of nutriants or to mess with too much ph etc if you can chill the water its even better . the one thing you do need to use is canazyme as it gets rid of dead root mass . and coverts to nuits etc
