I'll give a rundown of how I build my frames. After building the first one, the second went together in about half the time.
Tools: Phillips screwdriver, drill and drill bits, angle grinder, 1/8" rivets, and riveter, marker, tape measure.
Materials: 3/4'' angle aluminum, Cutter Mau5 8 cob kit
After cutting my lengths and widths, I attach the heat sinks on the end of the frame first. Mock up how its going to lay and instead of measuring where to make the holes, I just tilt the heatsink up and mark with a sharpie.
I mark and drill out for each heatsink on the same side.
Quality craftmanship right here lol
After driling all the holes for the first side, I attach the heatsinks on that side. Next line up the other side and mark each heatsink, again I've found it to be easier and more precise to simply eyeball and mark for the heatsinks.
It comes together pretty quickly after you get in the swing.
After all the heat sinks are in place, square up your frame, drill, and rivet. One at a time is how I do, make sure your frame stays square and get after it.

Yea mate, I held onto 1 clone of the Qrazy Quake, and I'm going to give her a proper run from clone. All the QQ's had a compact structure and grew large colas, with very little stretch, but one in particular was finished early. I'm running the fireballs pheno I like again and it is a little disappointing in the yield department, but the resin is unbelievable.

Cool appreciate the response. I lost track of what was what in the germination tray, but I have a lot more QQ's than FB. Maybe 8 QQ's, 1 FB, and 1Dog(f). Mine are pretty compact also, not much stretch, Only at or around 20+/- days since flip, so still early. Mine seem to have a more sativa leaf on them compared to that beauty you got. How many weeks did they take? Hope they finish no later 9-9.5 weeks.
Just noticed you labeled that pic purple storm, is that not a QQ?

Yea, I thought that may have been confusing. I just wanted to throw that pic up, cause it was a recent harvest.
I didn't snap a pic of the QQ, didn't have time. It had some purpling in it too, but not so dramatic a the PS.

So in light of all the controversy over Defoliation in flower, I've decided to run a small experiment. My theory is that by removing most large fan leaves that block light to the lower canopy early in flowering, bud weight will be increased and bud size will be more even. Each plant will be weighed and recorded.
The experiment will use 6 plants. 2 purple storm from cutting, and 4 Moon Dawg from cutting. Both strains have been run several times in my system already. The plants will be transplanted from 3 gallon to 10 gallon pots filled with my organic soil blend, 1 tbs of myco applied to the root system, and 2 cups of worm castings surrounding the roots during transplant. They will be transplanted and put directly in flowering Tuesday the 31st.
The defoliation group will be striped of all fan leaves covering bud sites at day 7 and day 28 of flowering. The control group will have no foliage stripped during the grow. Both groups will be lollipoped early in flowering.
Here we have the test subjects 3 PS on the left. (the larger PS will not be used in this experiment) 4 MD on the right.
These plants will be flowered under the 750 watt Gavita DE

So, here we go with this little experiment. I hypothesis that the defoliation group will produce more dried bud by weight than the control group. Because stripping leaves will systematically increase light penetration into the canopy and stimulate hormones that allow for increased bud growth.
Procedure: Plants were sized to be evenly distributed in both groups during transplant. The control plants and defol plants are the same size. The defoliation group will be stripped of 25-50 fan leaves on day 7 and day 28 of flowering. The goal is to strip any large leaves from the interior canopy so lower buds receive more light. All plants are situated directly under Gavita 750 DE with fresh bulbs.
All plants were transplanted into the same batch of organically amended soil. Each plant received 1 tsp of myco, and 2 cups of worm castings directly around the root system at transplant. I've done my best to make sure the conditions are similar, however, the back plants may have a slight advantage having a reflective wall within 6'' of the plants.
Moon Dawgs transplanted 2-1-17, day 1 flowering. The front and right plant are the defol group. The back and left are the control.
