Have heard differing opinions on whirlybird's. In the process of forming my own. Some say they can have funky mutations ect. Would like to hear others experiences with them.

dirty tools are a common culprit. I'd hide the little bastards in the corner of veg till they tighten up their act.
they will never be better if treated to the same environment and habits.
As normal leaves formed I'd cut those embarrassing leaves away, so nobody ever sees them, then, I'd clean my tools.

Can you explain to me how dirty tools might cause a whorled phyllotaxy? Its not a trick question.. Id really like to know if you have something to share.

Lol yeah it's a genetic mutation. Mine came out of a batch of shantibaba's g13 skunk. These were regular beans. I have limited indoor space and recently had to give two gorgeous males the heave ho the whorled phyllotaxy was my only female of the 3 beans I germinated. I'm not really liking the way she's forming her buds and there is very little terpene profile going on. just a hint of grapefruit. The trichome production is coming around 3.5 weeks into flowering. I will be patient tho coz shanti is one of the best out there.

so totally misread the title, and my answer is " STASH" .
I've worked with them, nothing purposeful, just happened, neat for the novelty if nothing else.

You've been hanging around with the inbred fuckups here too long V. Besides recessive doesnt mean what you think it means, Im sure you never actually tested inheritance of either over multiple generations and are not in a position to backup your illusion of knowledge. Whether it (just as many other traits) are recessive depends as much on what you cross it with.
Embarrassing leaves... There is no difference between leaves on a plant with regular opposite phyllotaxy and whorled phyllotaxy. Phyllotaxy is just a different leaf arrangement of regular leaves and says nothing about the individual leaves itself.

As for OP's question: impossible to tell till you smoke it. Whorled phyllotaxy is not linked to all genes that either make it stash or trash and has nothing to do with thc contents or terp profiles which unlike wp do determine if stash or trash.

I recently had this phenomena happen to me in my breeding experiment and I don't think its a "fuckup" at all...
Rather extraordinary in my opinion and can cause greater yields with no effect to vigor, potency, or health of the plant if anything its beneficial! But let's get it straight this only occurs in cross breeds not in true breeding strains, also it isn't a trait that can pass on to offspring. KEEP IT DUDE!

I had one on a Heavyweight Fruit punch I did a few years ago.
The bud grew like a fist and It was a very dense. The foliage growing out of the bud was tightly packed together leaves ontop of leaves.
It seemed to be a bit weaker than the rest of the bud but it was good smoke and it was a pretty cool experience watching it grow.
It had a few seeds in it and I grew one of them and it came out completely normal.

either your mix is hot or you need to back off on the teas you got a lil leaf tip burn. Just give her a worm casting shake take that right out

What if I could use the big bloom it is low in npk fertilizer and has bat guano and earthworm

Use something that's slightly low in N but don't completely back off. Whatever you're currently using should be good but go down a few doses.

It's been awhile since I've seen pics, but I think the leaves only have three lobes and are rounded, doesn't look like herb much at all, more like a white oak leaf.
