Bud Blood / MoaB VS late-stage PK boosters?

I meant nOOb by the length of your membership here as I have no idea how long you've been growing and not trying to start a flame war. I'll see your buds and raise you some colas. ;)

53 days since the flip and I'm not sure how much longer but they're still getting bigger. 1st run of this cross and they've had a bumpy ride with light bleaching and a but of nute burn while I figure out what they like best and pushed them hard. I'm sure yours will be a lot fatter soon. :)

:peace:
Truce then. Those like nice as well bro!!

And that's what the old Big Bud was, besides it works 100% the same, if you think other wise I got a nice bridge with a bib bud container under it for really cheap.
I listed the ingredients from a very early jar of BB in my earlier post but I guess you missed that. A lot more than just P and K was in it. I've used plain PK boosters and they don't perform near as well. A lot depends on what the plants are growing in tho and a rich organic mix probably has developed a lot of the things naturally that make BB work so well. If I'm not doing DWC then I've mainly used straight peat-based soilless mixes like Sunshine and the older ProMix blends that need the extras in BB as they won't develop them on their own. Like hydro those need supplements and BB was mainly developed for hydro to supply the missing components.

Two of the plants I'm growing now are a 50/50 blend of ProMix HP and ProMix potting soil mix both with MycoActive and are doing better than the two that are the HP and their Veg and Herb mix that doesn't use real dirt but has Myco too. I'll be growing more with the two different blends once I have clones from the same mother for a better comparison as the the four finishing now are the same strain but from seed so not all differences in their growing can be attributed to just the different grow media. They have all had the same doses of nutes at the same time tho.

The only thing that's really changed since BB first came out and now is the NPK was 0-10-40 with 7% Mg, citric acid and 18 amino acids. That's from the label on the old jar I have from it's earliest days when Dr. Hornby's name was still on the label.

Big bud is deff one of the best mid range boosters on the market. Its not what it used to be 10 years ago, but it still works great non the less. And there is alot more stuff in these products than is listed on the label.

When you go to use Big Bud in weeks 2-4 of flower, what do you use it with?

Using base nutes goes without saying and I start using Rhino Skin silica from when they are seedlings. Really hard to overdose the plants with silica but they don't need a lot either. I give them more in flowering tho too.

I use ProTekt. That's probably the last thing I would give up.. plants really are stronger with it!

What's your 3 part base? I'm guessing it already has a lot of PK in it, does adding Big Bud ever give you issues (nute burn / lockout)?
You can deff get a bit of burn if you feed all the time. I make sure to give them just water every few feeds. I use gh 3 part.

Seasoned growers don't give high PK at the start or at any other time during a plants life, its been proven that cannabis needs for P is way overplayed by shyster companies.
And actually its high Phosphorus diets in early.flower that makes plant stretch way more than lower P values. Sure the nitrogen to carb ratio plays into it but real deal tissue analysis results say lay off the P for less leggy plants in early flowering. Yall look it up yerself.

I wouldnt ask for any tips or secrets on here either. Most people wanna see a person fail rather than succeed... and who the hell is gonna show you where their hidden fountain of youth is. NO ONE..
I've got almost 20 years in the industry and I don't believe that I've seen anyone here passing on bad information in an attempt to fuck somebody up. You will see conflicting opinions/info, but that is only due to differences in environment/methods/strain(s)/etc. There is a lot of knowledgeable growers here, lots of good info. The trick is weeding out that which will benefit you and your grow.

Not saying that everyone will pass on their "trade secrets" either.

I do know someone, outside of this site, that does their best to steal info, and at the same time try to fuck others up. Sad, but true.

That's the funny & sad thing about RIU & many other cannabis forums.. few regular contributors are truly 'wrong', they simply all have different setup / strains / environment / nute lineup etc. I like the passion with which they advocate for their reasoning but I wish it had fewer personal insults and more benevolent information sharing.

That's a pretty cynical attitude for a nOOb to have. There's a lot of people here, myself included, that go out of their way to help folks by sharing the methods and secrets that they have learned through years of study and practice.

Here's a secret and a tip for ya. Sonic Bloom's PK ratio is back-asswards and you should have used it a couple weeks before you did. Ta-dah! See, we know how to share. ;)
I hate MonSatan as much as you do but Ricky "ain't" a noob. The dude's leaves look better than most people's buds. He knows his stuff.

I used dry and liquid koolbloom for years with success. I switched out liquid koolbloom with Canna pk13/14, great switch. I also tried Sonic bloom as a late flower booster and it works well. Then, I mixed koolbloom with sonic bloom 50/50, and it works way better than either alone. Now I'm trying MOAB/Sonic bloom 50/50 to see how well it does. Also just started 2 plants with bud blood for week 1. We will see how the stretch goes with them. I take everything to 10 weeks, so I use late boosters week 6-8 then flush for 2 full weeks on RDWC. Also, I put everything into a coffee grinder and turn it to dust before I add it to the res. Makes it dissolve instantly.

All of their line is very good and recommend it For essential oil and trichome development use "Terpinator" this stuff really work's - unbelieable !!! in later flower use a nutrient that has higher amounts of K than "P" (Bud Blood) . - Higher "p" amounts than "K" in middle flower (Big Bud)

dude what are you talking about, you dont use bud blood in late flowering.
