Where are you finding 3500k 3590 36v for $32? Lowest I can find is $39 and Vero 29 se 36v @ $28 is still 70% the price.

Gotcha, I did see these. I guess if you wanted to order everything separately through alibaba and pay shipping, you could get it down maybe $5-6 per COB.
To each their own. I'm ordering Veros, some people love CREEs and others are rocking the Citizens. The Veros are less bright and less expensive. How much less expensive obviously depends on where you're buying from.
Really no reason to argue lol

i was arguing your statement on vero being less bright lol.the new gen 7 vero @70v is more eff than a 3590 so more bright at low amps or lpw. and i have veros in use here as well as cree and i love them both

Where i live, i pay too much for elektricity, for me it counts that i need brightest lights for my KWh.
If u have your own elektricity suply or pay only little money for elektricity then cheaper COBS with lesser efficiency maybe better for u.
Argueing is senseless.

Right. I could get more watts and better effeicency running 4 Vero29 c (72V) @1050 than my 6 36v @1400. However, due to my rectangular space, 6 covers my space better than 4.Where i live, i pay too much for elektricity, for me it counts that i need brightest lights for my KWh.

Just gotta work your square footage and the numbers and get what's best for YOUR particular situation. Every space is different (unless we are dealing with standard grow tents)
Harvesting in a week. Hoping for 18-20+ got 6k lights. Just so many buds!! Gave some a squeeze and they are damn solid too. Ceiling fans caused a lot of leaves to canoe, but I'm fine with that as I hope it counters the extreme humidity from my swamp cooler.
A few things I learned from this grow.
Plants always suck water when lights are on, so is stopping feed an hour before lights off beneficial?
During lights off, plants may, or may not still drink. I loose 1.5kg of pot weight since my last feed to first lights on feed. I notice the night lights off climate doesn't affect this rate at all.
During lights on, plants drink pretty much instantly! ! At the same time, they release massive amounts of water, I have so much foliage in this room that I couldn't control the humidity. Could my ceiling fans be causing the leaves to transpire more as the wind is blowing the water layer away too fast? I'll have them spin slower my next grow.
I actually deleafed a section, and the buds aren't smaller, in fact because I can "see" more buds, am I truly getting more? Next grow I'll truly deleaf till it's a skeleton on one plant and document my findings for sure.

I also forgot to mention i have a quarter section thats all 3000k. The buds actually look slightly bigger (a miniscule 5% by eye) BUT it could be because the colour temperature makes them look that way. I can also feel a bit more heat under them too, but that could also be my imagination!

you gotta give us a full room shot G,i been waiting to see this room for damn near 8 weeks lol .be interesting to hear your numbers on those 3000k cobs.a good way to judge r/h and what size dehumidifier you will need is as a general rule if you feed 20 gallons a day you will need 20x8=160 so a 160pint dehuy would be the minimum size unit because your plants will transpire that much water(or close to it) into the air.

Or circulate more air if there is a differential in humidity with the outside. Could be cheaper and better in the long run than running a dehumidifier.
Also increasing air flow should increase respiration which is what you want. It also cools the leaves. I have recently been taking temperatures of the leaf surface and found that when the leaf rises to the ambient temperature, they start to droop. Drop it a few degrees with more airflow and they perk right up again like nothing happened.

At my house LEDs and COBs have shortened flower time, not increased it. This is not that important personally and only seems to amount to a few days and maybe only one or two. Buds appear frostier all during flower also and are but could look ready sooner.
It seems, but have no research on this, that once a few ambers show up they flip very quickly. Soon most tricks are turning amber. Anyone else on this?

Yep. Good Leds are shortening flowering time for all. I can only guess it has to do with less radiant heat. But that's totally guessing

I'm using 1 900w viparspectra led and 1 viparspectra 450w led in my 4x4 grow tent
I'm growing 2 pineapple chunk and 6 white urkle seeds from a local breeder.
3 week old white urkle and 5 week old pineapple chunk. Keeping them in veg till the smaller ones catch up and then will set to bloom.
Just posting to show my led setup if it helps anyone.

Switched over from 820 watts CFL to 810 watts in LEDs. 2X 300w, (no name ) and a 210w UFO, (no name ). As a result the 6'X2'X6' room dropped from 29deg cell to 20. This is tremendous because I have no bugs. On the downside, I have to buy food for my Lady bugs. Haha

I use a VIPAR ... You would do much better with BOTH SWITCHES ON.

Yes ... Each section under one color is painfully low powered.
Run both from start to finish. Bring lights down to 15-18" ... Your plants will thank you.
