lol i think we all have that damn thing, noisy as hell and gets so hot it will heat the water. i built a box with carpet in it and hung the pump from bungee cords and it still sounds like a single engine plane hahahaha
I did the bungee thing too
@sixstring2112 I did the same with the same pump, though I also put it on a cheap timer, it's on 15 off 15. Keeps it running cooler. Summers I have problems with res temps.
Yeah made water too hot and go put in the spare parts box

I just sit it out overnight now.
Bubbling is so noisy.

My organic soil isnt that picky, but no chlorine would be nice

It might be good for it. Two reasons:

1. Cl is useful to plants.
2. Cl will cull the microherd slightly but not entirely which helps keep other biologicals in check.

For some reason when I switched to straight tap (chloramine) in an organic sip from ro/distilled, the grow section became very active with benes and the res remained relatively clean. I toss in some h2o2 once a week into the res which seems to work as well to keep the res clean.

I think my water when the chlorine evaps the bad bacteria come back. I think they have an amount of immunity to chlorine now. My tap water will smell bad after 5-6 days sitting out

Yeah that's when I add the h2o2, about 4/5 days from initial watering. The smell is a great indicator when to do it.

From time to time I will add in some lemon juice for carbs, vit c and it seems to perk up the benes. Plants like it too, I think because the myco uses the lemon juice carbs giving the plant a bit of a break.

If your city water supply uses chloramine (chlorine + ammonia) you can use vitamin c to neutralize. Most vitamins are good for plants and I have been known to crush up some old multivitamin tablets for amending soil.

I have a few gen 1 cxm's and have been thinking about grabbing some of the gen 3.

Anyone have a source on the cxm27 gen 3?

Thanks
