Does an intake can help?

my 5x5 grow tent is in a basement with a lot of vents/openings for fresh air on the walls probably at least 3-4 all around the basement. I had an exhaust fan running in my tent ducted to move the hot/humid air outside through one of the vents on the wall. Now I just ran another inline fan ducted from a different vent bringing in cool fresh air straight in my tent(something I never did before). My intake fan is on the bottom of the tent and my exhaust fan is on the top of the tent. I honestly did it to bring the temps down in my tent. The air outside is nice and cold outside 40-50f and I'm near the end of my harvest and wanted to bring down the temps to 60-65f to bring out some purple colors(usually around 80f in the tent without intake fan) I was gonna throw in my AC in the tent but I figured this was a cheaper more efficient route since it's cold outside. My questions is are there any negatives or positives about having an intake fan? More co2? More airflow? Will it effect my dehumidifier?

My exhaust is 6" 400cfm
My intake is 4" 200cfm

HEPA filters are very restrictive as I found out when I was using them. With only a 4" intake you won't get very much air flow. The intake should be twice the area of your outlet with a passive intake or have a stronger fan than the exhaust fan. I covered the backside of my intake grills with non-static wiping cloths. The ones you can get to wipe computer screens with. They already have window screen on them so I just taped the cloths over them. Fine enough to keep bugs out, remove dust, spores etc and barely restrict the air flow.

It must work as my grow room is the most dust free room in the whole house where everything else needs constant dusting. :)

Yes, my tent currently has one booster fan and quite a bit of vacuum atm. I have an extra booster fan but don't have enough grounded outlets to power it. positive pressure will force air past the carbon filter. You need to equalize or run mild vacuum.

I just use passive intakes with a 6" exhaust fan. I'm not growing in a tent but a room in my basement crawl space. Was a cold room lined with shelves for food storage but I ripped them out. There's a sump pump under the stairs beside the room and damn bugs were breeding in the water so I built a sealed door for it with vents I got at the local building supply and put the cloths on the back of the vents. Put a clear plastic window in it so I can check the sump without undoing the 16 screws holding it on. I've since put 2 more of those vents on it for better air flow.

I'm building an addition to it real soon. A buddy sold me his used gear cheap so I have an 8x4 tent I could use but building another room connected to the existing one will work a lot better in my cold basement. Got a nice 6' light mover and a new bulb for my 1000w HID to light up the new area. Just need a bit of cash for the materials and will have that not long after the current crop comes in. ;)

I'm looking to buy a house in the next year. One thing that will make the decision is distance from the panel to a bedroom. I plan on blacking out the windows in said room.

I live in northern California and because of earthquakes most houses are built on concrete slabs.(no basements) So the plan is to rip out the flooring and drop something laminate like linoleum and installing smooth white FRP about 4' up the wall. This would make the room basically waterproof aside from the door. Also highly reflective. A bedroom closet would make a great veg room.

My grow dream. 4-6 large scrogs would maximize yeild for my state legal limit.

ScroG is great for indoors to maximize your yield while keeping plant counts low. I've done a few DWC ScroGs and can get a half lb off one plant with almost another half of popcorn and sugar trim. Long veg times but done right could do a perpetual type grow and be harvesting one or two a month.

I've got my med card here in Canada but haven't filed to grow legally. If I do I could be legal for 39 plants indoors but don't want to be on the gov't hit list when the new rules start being put into place this year. Could be years before anything changes but they start the legislative process to legalize this spring.

Planting about 80 beans today to do a SoG grow in 10 - 2gal pots with 5 sprouts in each pot. Veg for a month, start 80 more, veg for a month, fill other side of space with 10 pots, crop first batch a month later. Rinse and repeat. :)

Might sell this place next summer so want to stock up before shutting down. Sick of living in BumF**k Alberta and want to head back to BC on my own. Was out there to help my 89 yo mom move for 5 weeks and I'll find work in the cannabis industry somewhere. Could have got a job as a budtender there and damn near took it. The Okanagan is f'n beautiful and so are the women! :)

Lucky bastard, the last time I saw a hot piece of ass in norcal, I was still going to school.

The women where I have lived are married or pregnant by 20 and stop caring about themselves. The only places I can think of to find decent looking women is the gym, and that's a good way to lose your membership. :wall:

That or they are just mean women. All of my exes are exes because they are angry people.

Back to topic.That's what I want. 4x4 or larger screens with 3 veg and 3 flower would be ideal.

I don't know what I would do with that much green, but with California's new laws, I can always find a good use for it.

Can never have too much green whether it be cash or buds. :)

I wish I'd had more time to go out and socialize while in BC but barely had time to drive into Vancouver to see my boys and grandkids. I'm 62 with hair half way to my ass and was getting hit on by young babes. By young I mean upper 30s and beyond mostly. Dad bods are in these days and I'm right in the groove on that. lol

The wife and I get along fine but since she went thru menopause a few years back she has zero desire and I'm raring to go. Having her 24 yo daughter bouncing around in shorts all the time is driving me nuts. I'd hit on that but don't want to be the next John Wayne Bobbit! :D
