Yes there are 2x10" bring cool air in. And one 10" and one 12" taking the hot air out. And as for the heater I run 2 thermostat for the fans and heater. When the fan are on the heater is off and when the room gets down to 18. The fans will turn off and the heater will come on. Each thermostat controls 2 fans one is set on 18 and that one will control the heater. The second one is set at 27 and runs the 2 other fans so that way if the room go's under 27 the 2 fan will turn off
