i like perez but i disagree with this tact. this is the new, super-dysfunctional, politics as usual.

then again, my tact would be to fight loudly but let the bad bills pass so the GOP gets hammered when the reality sets in.

There are some major differences between Tea Partiers and my own ethos that prevent me advocating a liberal tea party. Their inability to see truth from lies -- actually seeking lies that confirm what they want -- for one thing. The other is their callous racism and classism in order to maintain their own social status. Third is their sell out to the wealthy. They have made the GOP into a the party of fascists. I oppose them but am not willing to cram my beliefs into a bottle and stopper it just so they can be defeated.

Does he support progressive ideas? He SAID "everybody will have health care". I'd support that. But that's not what's happening and Trump isn't opposing any of Ryan's legislation, is he? I'd like to think that Trump can be dealt with fairly but he's a liar. Can't work with somebody who can't be trusted.

I'm not proposing any such blind opposition; we need to protect voting rights in a way that the democratic party is ignoring. We need to stop runaway income and wealth inequality. We need UNIONS! We need to get money the fuck out of politics. These issues would form am excellent base for such a party wing.

I see impeachment as a long shot, certainly not before 2019 due to republican majorities in House and Senate.

Assassination is simply not an option I can support in any way, not even in jest. Not only would it destabilize an already vulnerable country, leading to yet more civil disorder but the bastard might become a martyr, and we'd never be rid of his influence. BAD IDEA.

So, then, keep an open mind about the people circulating in the candidate arena. That's all.

That said, Corey Booker has done a few things that have biased me against him. So I'm not all that pure.
