And just to be fair, timbers grow kits to cover a 3x3 space are similarly priced as the se250, and you can probably have them closer to the canopy.

Ok member since today. Join the amare club. Have fun flowering 450 watts in a 4.5x4.5. Make a grow log I want to see this. I use 16 cxb 3590 to flower in a 5x5. The 3590 are 20% more efficient at that wattage than the 3070. I'm pushing 800ppfd which is a little on the light side. That se450 will very poorly flower the space amare is trying to push. You're a new member so it's typical

Some of the lighting stores offer payment plans, or let you use PayPal credit. Not sure if that's something you'd be interested in.
The way I see it your gonna be investing either way for lighting, and lighting is Imo the most crucial part of your grow. It has the most affect on plant growth as long as your medium is dialed.
So don't skimp out on what will give you better meds. Invest in a proper light

Talk about top dollar though. How about one single plant with proper reflection technique?
Would the se250 do me any good or is it well worth the extra couple hundred to get the se450?
Also are there any quality/affordable led s worth trying?
One 250 will do a nice size plant. The 450 will allow you to upsize a bit when you're ready though.
How big is your space? Se250 is rated for a 3x3 and the se450 is rated for a 4.5x4.5

I have a questione for se450 owners. How loud are the fans?

Top quality usually calls for top price
Fans are silent. The 450 does 4'x4', I pulled 18+ oz off it in those dimensions. Maintains highest #'s within a 3.5x3.5 but grows plenty good bud on the edges of a 4x4. NP.
Space is undefined yet.
But I plan on one or two 2 footers in a small closet.
I can design spec accordingly. I think 3x3 I can do and get 2 good dense ladies.
450 for you if you want to kill it. Might wanna go 3.5'x3.5'.

I am pretty sure this thread gets new posters because amare cronies want to keep it on top. Amare probably rewards certain members for it. 450 watts of 46%efficent cobs and less efficent monos wont do shit

What, didn't like getting burned by a newbie? I don't have a 4.5x4.5... never gonna happen. Are you retarded or just don't like listening? He said he doesn't have time for a diy build.
Obviously why I mentioned timber.
You are flooding your room with ppfd, granted. But your spectrum is not as good as amare, u less you have supplementing diodes all over your grow. Sorry. Typical middle eastern guy, thinking he is more important than he is.

Wrong again. 48 w a 3070 should be around 52% , 50% load on the monos should be 50%.
Stop spreading lies. Told you, kick rocks fake grower lil hater.
BigSmos SE-450's just got him 1.5 GPW for all to see. Mad #'s. While you're talking about it we're doing it. While you're focused on hating, we're focused on great results. So, why again are you here? You don't have 16 3590's, your boy does. Don't you have a job to do in the Middle East rather then harras growers w/ your falseties, & fooletto statements you know nothing about.

The XP-G2/3s in the Amare are just as efficient as the COBs.
Which are most of the monos, blue and far red cree monos also tend to be as efficient, even if the xpe is a slightly weaker led than the xp-g series.

Haha go on with your Amare self. I can tell you have grown with mars. Amare would be the next step in your evolution.

I'm using 800ppfd. 1500ppfd is max for cannabis.

Timber has framework kits. Look at the wattage, the cobs type and count. You'll see timber is a much much better deal. And notice timber being much more efficient shows their proper coverage where amare says they'll cover a lot more than is realistic with its horriably low PPFD from shitty cxb 3070s.

So far I have only grown outdoors because nothing will ever beat out the sun, but in my area climate can change dramatically (bad for plant life).
This is why I'm starting to look into LED's and indoor.
@BM9AGS How about some info on any better panels or some type of rebute rather than just trashing everyone.
I would love some conflicting comparisons and info. I am obviously here for advice.
I also don't intend on totally trusting advertisements.
These amare lights do have great reviews and at least one great grow journal that was just shared with me.

Cxb 3590 at 50w is about 56% efficent. Vero29 at about 90w is about the same.

Stay away from cxb3070 ran at 50w because that's 43% efficent. If you want that then gogreenleds has 4 cxb3070 for about $400

But timber has 4 cxb3590 for $400 and that's a better deal. All you have to do is hang them if you don't wanna make a frame or buy his inexpensive frames.

Northern grow lights has good lights as well as tasty. But for cobs and PPFD your best bet is timber. Or spend the extra on amare but get the 3590 cob ones. Still over priced but they make pretty pics.

I will probably be deterred from LED's due to everyone thinking they know best and trying to throw their 2 cents into the ocean of knowledge.
The sun is obviously the best for cannabis.
Plus I plan on all natural organic growing through my journey, and artificial light might defeat the purpose.
But I will probably end up getting a panel of some sort for off season grows in winter or something who knows.
I appreciate info and I am annoyed with the man-child who wants to troll a half dead cannabis forum website.
For someone who is calling ages through a keyboard, you are acting very adolescent.
