Agreed, the red/white garage door opener/doorbell wire most can find at the home centers isnt rated for that kind of current.

I was under the impression that without a switch or toggle in line to cut the pot (A version) that the driver never sees full potential. This is why I thought that "A" drivers were a small % "underdriven" compared to a B driver with the pot leads capped.
 
Any safety tips for my first build? Whats the chance one day I get shocked from touching the structure? These are potentially high voltages, and it only takes approx 100-200 mA to kill.

Any ways to avoid this or safety procedures/devices? Better to have the driver inside or outside a tent?

Regarding the AC, could I just grab an old unused laptop charger or something and chop off the transformer? As long as its a 3 prong?

Ground the driver to the frame......and dont mess with it stoned haha

if u can solder the dimmer a switch is very easy to add next to the dimmer , on my 185's @1400 there is noticeable boost to the light intensity , i tested my 1st one in a dark large room & it was very distinct 10% brightness when I hit the switch to open the circuit on the dimming leads when the lights were aimed at the far wall
i put both into a small plastic project box 2x3x1/2" to protect them
 
yes thats easy. just order chip+heatsink+holder

i need to update heatsinks and havent gotten there yet. i know for sure the only thing i have left are 120s but not sure how many and which drilling pattern

LOL! Dude you sound so overwhelmed. You should probably just break down and put your trust in someone. It's all about vetting the right partner. Otherwise you might find that "safe" and "easy" place you are comfortable in. But, eventually you may get eaten up by more proactive competitors.

You've branded Cob kits very fast and well. It's your knowledge and enthusiasm that makes people trust you. By my my own due diligence you have some of the best prices around. You're not quite there yet tho.

You need someone with real go it alone manufacturing experience you don't have to watch over to take up that slack. Whilst you R&D the cutting edge and efficiency and sell. Those are your high points imo. But, realize I am stoned right now. I have those skills but, it would be such a risky move. And all that snow? Fuck that. I ordered 4x Citi 1212s with the meanwell hlg 185h 48a driver going in a 2x2x3 tent. To dim the lights you adjust the VO adj. or the IO adj.?
 
Hello guys, a query if I use the meanwell driver HLG-120H-C1400B with two citizen clu048 1212 will give me each 50w or 75?
Or use two cobs citizen clu048 -1825 ?

You can fit 3 1212s (36V) on that model at about 50W each, two would still be 50W each. You can drive 2 1825s (50V) at about 70W each.
 
Hello all!

I'd like to know which driver is the most suitable for 2 clu058 1825 in serie:
HLG-240H-C1750 or HLG-185H-54 ?

My limit is around 90W because the heatsinks, that's why not more than 1750mA.
