Thats pretty impressive, how many cobs you runnin in there? You ain't seen ghetto till you've seen this:View attachment 3882362
Six total, Chinese 100W warm whites, running at about 55 watts each. About 120 bucks total in the cobs.Thats pretty impressive, how many cobs you runnin in there?
My first grow went good just had crazy unmanaged canopy. My second went great and the one I'm currently in. I was only running one p300 and just today threw in the second.I think one p300 really only has maybe 2x1.5 footprint wise. It says it will do a 3x3 but after 2 feet it's stretching it. In my opinion my 2 plants that are in there now with just the p300 was at the point of too much plant and not enough light coverage. The p450 should easily do 3x2 coverage wise. I would say cut maybe 1/4 up to 1/2 of what the coverage states is really true. No bashing on Platinum company but what I have seen after two grows so far is the footprint may be what they say of light spread but not of effective light for the plants.Mastermiller have you grown through to harvest with that platinum? I have the 450 is why I was wondering. We also have the same tent and I think they are both in our bedrooms lol, and I'm about to get a timber grow light or two as well!
Damn. That's looking gorgeous. Thanks for that. Here's my chemdog in 4x4
This is exactly why I won't ever go anywhere else for my lighting needs... Dan has exemplary people skills that not only promotes his company's growth, but creates a kinship with his fellow growers in this community. Am thrilled with the results of my 200w Cree and all the advice he has given on rebuilding my Vipar 900W. Just scraping up the funds to see it through now, then calling Dan!Hello @Bountykiller420

$120 for Cree cxb3590s? Cause when i talked to kingbrite i was quoted $40 per Cob x6 thats $240, and then Ide need drill/tap heatsinks which can range from anywhere from $15-30 each x6 thats another $90 at the least, then $80 for a driver, you need wire, plugs, thermal paste, misc parts, say $100 tops, a frame which well could range from anywhere and then...you gotta put all that shit together, now if you have most of the stuff cool, go for it, most people dont have electrical or sautering skills so having someone basically set everything up for you in a kit whether it be a framed or frameless kit, and lower price or basically same price as ide pay for assembling it myself and ordering all the stuff from china, oh yeah and the foreign tax you deal with, seems to be a damn good dealSix total, Chinese 100W warm whites, running at about 55 watts each. Did I mention Cree 3690's anywhere? No. CHINESE cobs. 100W warm whites. Six of them. $2.65 apiece on Ebay. ALL of the parts I used totaled about $120, almost everything sourced from Ebay.$120 for Cree cxb3590s? My brother has a small drill press I used to drill the aluminum mounting plates. Self tapping screws, no tapping of holes needed. Soldering is not a hard skill to learn, just got to know what to use.
Yeah. 4x4. I only really needed 2x2 but I wanted the space to grow other veggies too.Is that a 4x4 tent?
I'm not to sure how much of a difference the cones make. I'm still new to the cob'sDo you prefer the cones off or on. I know the pic has them on
