Intake ventilation help

hi. i'm just a newbie, so take what I say with a grain of salt. But....I was thinking, what about a carbon filter and fan on the INTAKE? have an intake fan to suck in the air from the basement, but put a carbon filter on it so it filters the yucky basement air before it goes into your tent. Little more expensive, but its a thought!
No just put tights on the intake so ig filters the bugs out a carbon filter on the in is a waste of time and will restrict air movement

I just did the intake/exhaust thing DIY last night until I could get to the hydro store today because it was 32° last night here in NorCal. Worked great.

I used the cold intake to go through my lights first then dump into the room helps warm it a bit while keeping your light cool :)
