drgreentm,Apr 25, 2011Sulphur is extremely high in well water? Did your grandparents have it and you assume it's everywhere? Sorry but your just wrong, not all wells have sulphur but yes some do. There is a pocket 1 mile away that has it but nope none here. No one can tell you if your well water is good or not, get it tested if concerned, that's the only real way to know other than water your plants. If the plants die then stop lol.
Lol
Plants will drink just not absorb some nutrients but is a flush even necessary? I have not noticed any difference in the final product unless I use some boosters which I don't any more, in hydro BTW.The ph is needed so the plants can absorb the water or nutes etc as if the ph is wrong they cant drink or feed anyway!!
Its the quality of smoke... u can tell if u build a blunt (no tabacco) with a non flushed plant and a flushed plant the non flushed will be harsh on the back of your throat (you can taste the chemicals) where as the flushed will smoke smooth as you like!! However the more you flush the more weight (salts etc) you loose so if your growing to sell dont flush for as long. But remember if it smokes like shit it wont sell anywaysPlants will drink just not absorb some nutrients but is a flush even necessary? 40 years of growing and I can honestly say I've never noticed a difference. And nope never hurt sales either lol. The majority of what I sell is outdoor and it gets organic till chop. But I prefer the hydro .Its the quality of smoke... u can tell if u build a blunt (no tabacco) with a non flushed plant and a flushed plant the non flushed will be harsh on the back of your throat (you can taste the chemicals) where as the flushed will smoke smooth as you like!! if it happened the way you say, the buds would turn yellow too, but they don't because that is not how nutrients and plants work. google plant nutrient uptake and start reading. The plant doesn't know the difference between organic nitrogen or nitrogen in a bottle. Its the quality of smoke... u can tell if u build a blunt (no tabacco) with a non flushed plant and a flushed plant the non flushed will be harsh on the back of your throat (you can taste the chemicals) where as the flushed will smoke smooth as you like!! something i agree with you on . but you hold me up to being such a fuck up. this poster wont know what to thinkif it happened the way you say, the buds would turn yellow too, but they don't because that is not how nutrients and plants work. google plant nutrient uptake and start reading. I know everyone grows differently.... so in my experience which is only about 8 years and i have only grown indoor in hyfro and coco ...Not flushing only works with a true organic feed and if your smart enough (I am not). If it tastes harsh and/or doesn't stay lit while passing the j you are smoking fertilizer.look at these pro workers . do you think they flush ?

Yup exactly ....I fill my tank after every watering to get ready for the next time and have no issues whatsoever .....hell even when I go straight out of the hose I don't have no issues ,,and that's in three different location with well water being one of them ....go figureI used to use my brita filter until I was running through them super quick ($$). I read somewhere that, like Dr. Greenthumb said if you let the water sit for a couple days (with cap not on container), most of the additives will evaporate. Haven't had any issues since the switch.

Ya I really doubt 5 days is gonna hurt yields. The time of chop varies from grower to grower and that 5 days could be after someone has cut their plant so again I doubt it matters much. If you want to flush and feel it helps then I say have at err. It's not like your losing half the yield.i run straight water for the last 5 days . its just what i have to do. saves cash and last 5 days with out nutrients wont matter . so much nutrients are left in the soil anyways and i reuse my soil i do not want to burn baby plants .
CO2 in water forms carbonic acid which will lower the pH not raise it. Unless your are bubbling pure CO2 in your water it won't make any difference to an open container for long time.About the only issue I have with it is that if I leave it in an open container for a few days the pH will rise to about 7.4. I think it's dissolved CO2 but I haven't checked that yet. IT's fine in a closed container. Plants don't seem to care, but I have to buffer it for the fish tank.
Exactly. So with dissolved CO2 my pH would be lower (5.9), and after a couple of days it out gasses and the pH raises to 7.4 Just a thory at this point. I have a disolved co2 test kit, I just haven't used it yet.CO2 in water forms carbonic acid which will lower the pH not raise it. Any thoughts as to why it's rising? My well water does the same just not as drastic.CO2 in water forms carbonic acid which will lower the pH not raise it. Unless your are bubbling pure CO2 in your water it won't make any difference to an open container for long time.
