History and Cabaret warns us not to take this lightly. I guess this is why Trump's regime is so earnest about erasing history.

I was in error in my earlier post. The boycotts were from the US of German goods and the Nazis brutalized the German jews in retaliation. There was no organized resistance to the Nazi's after they took power in 1933. I still expect a modern day equivalent of paramilitary enforcers to show their heads. Maybe Trump's "immigration police" that he promised to establish.

White house propaganda is already talking down about the Women's March on Saturday:

“Watched protests yesterday but was under the impression that we just had an election!” Trump tweeted Sunday.

“Why didn't these people vote? Celebs hurt cause badly.”

Russian propaganda is doing the same:

They may have attracted the headlines, but the anti-Trump protesters who attended the massive Women’s March in Washington DC, are now drawing criticism for abandoning their placards at landmarks and on the capital’s streets.

"Those filthy women, leaving behind piles of protest placards" harrrumph. LOL it was a protest. The signs were left as a "sign" of protest. The only criticism is being voiced by the people who the protest was directed at. Don't like seeing signs? Then stop attacking women's rights.

Do you believe that this country, at this point in time, or let's say minus 1 year is the best it can be or has ever been?

If so I think you are highly confused.
I would love to see all aspects of our country improve. And I believe they can.
