Things to consider:

· Target yield: 1+ LB

· Budget: $2500

· Growing location: House. In a valley/desert with little humidity, high heat.

· I am a beginner and stealth is a must.

· I want 2 tents, one for cones, or veg and one for flowering.

The most trouble I have is trying to find reliable products to create my grow tent. All the products I look into always have mixed reviews and when I search up websites I always feel like their advertising certain products so I want reconmendations from people who have used the products. Basically I need reconmendations on products to complete my grow tent check list. I hope im making sense. Lets look at it this way, I have built a couple pc’s and I learned a lot about each individual part in order to build my whole pc. This is the same concept in my mind. I want recommendations or product knowledge and experience.

Tent:

· I bought a 4x4 gorilla grow tent already at a discount. I want two tents so if anyone can recommend another lowcost durable tent for veg please recommend.

Lights:

· LED ONLY.

· Kind LED 750

· Galaxy hydro 300w

· Advanced Platinium

· I haven’t bought an LED so please add some insight.

Growing medium:

· For my flowering tent I kind of want to do a half hydro ponics (2 buckets) top feed and 3 soiiless. Can I do that?

Buckets: ?????

Humidity control: ??

Tempature Control: ??

Ph Tester: ?

Trimeters, Ec meters, Hydrometer:

Thermostat:

Ducting:

Timers:

Cloning machines: DIY is acceptable.

Filtration systems:

Fans:

PPM tester:

Carbon filters:

Nutrients (soiless and HYDro)

I don’t know if this is asking for too much or if anyone can help me because im super lost. I just want a check list of what I need to buy for the tent. that's all.

Those are some $$$ LED's

Bud 1 5' x 5' x 8' $500 Gorilla Grow Tent
600 Watt Cree CXB3590 4'X4' Framework $1,500 Timber Lighting
Air Filtration System 450 local hydro store 6" complete system muffler carbon filter and fan
Drip to waist DIY System $200 local hydro/lowes
Nutrients ? depends on what you use

If cost up front is an issue would go MH/HPS or some kind of conventional lighting

Can also save a few hundred by getting a kit and building the COB lighting yourself

Hyperfans are good fans, I've had 2 six inchers for about 4 years, still running strong.
Built in speed controller can be switched for a Hyperfan responsive thermostat unit which ups and downs your exhaust speed to try and maintain a steady temp.
I haven't tried one, but Hyperfans also come in models built into a silencer/muffler. I want one!
I use an external muffler, then wrap the fans in doonas.

Think you list is to big for your budget sadly unless you find some deals on ebay , craigslist or something. Even if you build the LED's yourself think you would be over budget. Would work on one tent do a veg/flower in same tent then use proceeds from that to upgrade and get the rest. 2x4x8 & 5x5x8 would be about $800 alone new

I'm just scared of buying a bunch of stuff and finding out its no good or that I needed to buy something else.
any reconmednations for
trimeters
soil thermoeters
thermostats
humidifiers
air flow fans (not exhaust)
cloning machines
ducting
since I'm using a tent do I have to vent air in as well or can I just put little fans in to create air flow and vent air out with an exhaust or do I have ot have a fan push air in as well from outside of the tent.
also, I don't have much room so itd have to be either a 3x3 or 2x4 or smaller for the veg tent

You can use just open vent flaps instead of an intake fan.
It's just a little harder to make the nights perfectly dark for your flower room :)
And you might get irritated with the walls getting sucked in.

well I'm willing to use alternative for th lighting I just want to kee it LED. I went on amazon and I have a growilla gro tent 4x4x7 and Apollo 2x4x5 kind led 750 and 2 galaxy hydro lights for around 1800$ that leaves me with roughly 600$ left for whatever I need but the problem is I don't know all the requirments for a stealthy fully fucnctional tent.

are hyper fans used for air flow or exhausting air out the tent

Hey Anthony,

My needs are the same as yours, I currently pull 1LB per 2 months and stealth as I grow in an apartment.

Below is a list of what I use to grow:

Homebox Evolution R120 Grow tent.(I'm upgrading to the R240 for perpetual) This tent is awesome, I've used it for 2 years now. Its PAR+ technology and german design and engineering make it the best.
www.homebox.net
ISO-MAX Silencer fan - 3 Speeds built in a silencer housing.
Nutrifield Smart pots w/ halo rings - great pots, I use them in coco coir. but you can grow multiple styles.
Nutrifield Nutrient Range
Phresh Carbon Filter

You'll also need a mister that can run automatically to help with low humidity in veg tent only.

Just the hydro system was $180 could do it cheaper. Tent was about $600 but it's a 5x5x8 could get that cheaper also but I like supporting local shops. So the pricing in my head is probably off lol. if you search for the deals you may come in at your budget

Lights:

· LED ONLY.

- Get top shelf LED (Cali green uses in his youtube videos and its great, and inexpensive than its competitors. Simply the best)

Yes. Its called Coco Coir. and a Drain to waste system. I use it with great results. If you can find Nitrified smart pots and halo rings you will be sorted.

Buckets: Above^

Humidity control: A simple temp/humidity monitor, coupled with a mister that you set automatically for the veg. Flowering uses low humidity which you have.

Tempature Control: A good fan with a temperature controller built in works for me.

Ph Tester: BLUELAB Ph testers, it pays to get quality equipment, make sure to buy the 4.0 and 7.0 ph buffer for calibration.

Trimeters, Ec meters, Hydrometer: A simple cheap TDS/PPM meter will work. Otherwise bluelab make a PH/TDS Tester.

Thermostat: built into the fan, otherwise you can get an external controller that can plug into a heater, or cooler.

Ducting: Acoustically insulated ducting with decrease the sound coming off the fan, which helps in a stealth grow.

Timers: I use a good digital timer, but I've heard your american digital timers are shit.

Cloning machines: DIY is acceptable. There is a thread I've found on building your own Aero cloner. Its on here somewhere, if i find it ill post it here.

Filtration systems: Any shop carbon filter will work but Phresh make the best carbon sourced from australia and made in the usa.

Fans: Iso-Max Silencer fans are very quiet, 46db at low speed.

Nutrients (soiless and HYDro)
Canna is the quality but you're paying for the brand. I use Nitrifield range, but GH are the most consistent. Get general hydroponics.

I appreciate your hep very much I have been looking into what you and everyone else has been referring
I also have a question for air ventilation. do I need the vent air in? would that mean I have to buy two carbon filters and fans so that I can have air venting in and out?

No, You don't have to vent air in. Your mixed flow/centrifugal fan is enough to passively bring air in the tent. So negative on two carbon filters.

Hope that helps!
