DIY with Quantum Boards

Spectrum is just as good, they're even more efficient than COB LED at a given drive current, produce better distributed illumination and they generate less undesirable heat.

So I'm thinking they're better than COB unless you physically don't have the space for them.
Nice, so they are only missing intensity at this current time? Most grows I've seen with them, the plants are lollipopped pretty high

670W of quantum boards are strong competition for 900W of COB LED, side by side in my own garden.

So I'm not getting where you're coming up with a 'lack of intensity' argument?
Once they enhance it with a lil Blurple. And advertise it as being even more effective and efficient. Which WILL happen in the next newer and improved version. It will sell out. But, that won't happen until. They stop "selling out" of the current model. I'm Just guessing but. It's a pretty easy guess. New and improved. Honestly. I think it's a great product based on reviews. It will be even better tho.

Having run and been disappointed by many blurple panels, I fail to see how adding them would benefit anything.

Instead of striking this vaguely disapproving tone towards the tech, why not just try them yourself?

Blurple is a combination of red and blue light spectrums genius. Add some white and ya got "full spectrum".

How is that new and improved Quantum Board complete with additional red and blue LED enhanced lighting coming along guys?

It will be out of the park. I bet.

Just from various grows that I have seen pics of, the plants seemed to be top heavy, not many side colas. I may be wrong, no personal experience so I'm treading lightly. I wanted to get a QB but Robin sold out lol. If you lowered the current on those COBS, which one would beat out which?

If any spectrum supplementation is needed, I'd vote for UVB. They surely don't need for anything else IME.
Ya can't see far beyond your own nose you ole fart. Change is always happening. And coming. Perhaps technology has surpassed your ability to see any further. It happens. Don't feel bad. Hey. My incandescent Grow is killer. I'll post pics soon.

He's a vert grower. So am I but on a micro scale. I hang my lights slightly above and at about a 45 degree angle to the sides of the plant. Blurple and HPS on either side and slightly above. It works really really good.
