You shouldn't use clear containers. Light in the root zone is bad , promotes algae growth, limits root development.......i have a clear container that my plant is in and there is green moss looking shit on the inside wall of the pot. Is this bad? I'm using a teaspoon per gallon of molasses if that would have anything to do with it? I'll take pics ASAP
Thx
so with algae can u elaborate on why its a problem? does it rob O2 from the roots or something like that? Inquiring minds want to know. Thx in advance.Algae... yes its bad. Usually from improper drainage...to wet. Does container have drain holes in it?
That's what makes dwc fun...root ballsalgae eventually inhibits the uptake of needed food by those roots. The algae themselves eat nutrients like pigs, leaving your rootzone free of needed plant foods, maybe..... clear container is your fail.
I know, its fun to watch roots, get over it.
Cool avatarThat's what makes dwc fun...root balls
Damn. Well TBH I was looking for a large enough container that would fit inside my bucket and it just happened to be clear but yes, it is fun to watch the roots grow lol.algae eventually inhibits the uptake of needed food by those roots. Well it's in its 2nd week of flowering so I'm just gonna ride it out and see what happens, it's my first grow so I guess I'm entitled to some mistakes lol. I have an auto White Widow growing, a seedling in a 2 gal black bucket so that's gonna be fun
Thx for the info
