GHS NL#5 x Haze Mist 25 clone SOG

Ok, iv just germed 2 nl5 x haze mist fems and i plan on using the best one of the two to take my 30 clones from, il only use 25 but il be taking 30 just to be sure i get 25 rooted.

The two seedlings are currently in my veg room under a blue spectrum 125w eco-lite in a reflector, in 1.4l square pots and after the first week or so il be turning my second eco-lite on which is hanging and not in any reflector.

I figure itl take about 8-10 weeks to raise the mums and get 25 cuts rooted, i have 2 x nl5xhaze mist fems and three big buddha cheese in the flower room, all seedgrown plants that were vegged for six weeks and are now in their 2nd week of 12/12 in 10l pots, i also have in there 8 nl cross clones and 8 cheese clones that only got 4days veg time after rooting and are in their first week of 12/12 and were taken from the bigger seedgrowns, theyre just to fill in the gaps between the bigger seedgrowns as theyre currently in round pots.

My current plants have about 8 weeks left in the budbox which gives me plenty of time to raise the mums and root the cuts, my budbox is lit with a 600w sylvania growlux hps dual spectrum lamp in a cooltube setup, my 600w ballast will also run mh lamps and im cosidering buying a 600w mh lamp for last two-three weeks of veg and just use the eco-lites to raise the mums, root the clones and the first week of veg to give them a gentle start before they go under HID lighting.

The clones once rooted will go into 1.4l pots of westlands west+ multi purpose organic compost with added john innes +30% perlite, then after two weeks or so when theyve rooted their pots they will be potted-on into 6l pots of the compost neat and continued to veg until they have rooted out the 6l pots should be two-three weeks then il be dropping the light to 12/12.

Nl5 x haze mist is an 11week strain according to greenhouse so its really closer to 12 or 13 weeks.

Im hoping for around an ounce per 4 week vegged smallish clone, so 25 clones, 25oz lovely jubbly.

So this is kind of a two way journal, my current plants starting halfway through, and the next lot which will be the 25 clone SOG, right at the very beginning with starting the 2 mothers off.

Today i took my current plants out of the budbox flower room and laid out the 25 6l square pots just to make sure they fit into the floorspace, and they fit perfectly, 5 rows of 5 pots, every bit of floorspace will be used.

I also lined out my budbox with diamond mylar today.

Nutes: for veg i wont be using any, theres plenty in the compost already in their first 1.4l pot to see them through the first two weeks, then theyl be potted on into their final 6l pots of fresh compost which will feed them fine until the first weeks of 12/12.

Once in flowering il be using 100% organic bio-bizz grow & bloom nutes + epsom salts to be used at around 3-4 weeks into 12/12 because bio-bizz nutes are a bit low in Mg and Mg deficiencies tend to show up around this time after the stretch and full flower begins.

I also use superthrive at 1drop per 4ltrs of water to water after the re-pots to ease transplant stress.

Heres a few pics, one of the pots in place to give me an idea of how the plant layout will be, a pic of the diamond mylar in place in the budbox/flower room, a pic of my 600w cooltube/extraction/filtration system, pics of the two to-be mums and my little veg room overall.

Il get some pics of the current nl cross and cheese grow up when flower room lights are back on tomorrow.

Take seat and feel free to ask any questions along the way.

Cheers Beechy, youve been upgraded from your front row seat to the vip box to watch this one, complete with beers, a fruit bowl full of church bud and a little bit of the old eye candy ;-)

Im tired of growing un-uniform larger seedgrowns so im having a go at this SOG business, with uniform clones.

If all goes well i should yeild alot more than my normal previous harvests, and at the same time have a uniform canopy with all my plants receiving more or less an equal amount light, as opposed to my tallest plants being right up under the light and the smaller ones lower down receiving less light.

I plan on working out a rotation system to move all the plants around the flower room periodically as my 600 is mounted above the centre of the floorspace and obviously the plants directly under the light will do better, so il move them around weekly so they all grow and bud equally.

Ok as this is kindof a two way journal heres an update of the current grow in flower as we speak.

Getting a little crowded in there now, pics were taken just before watering with the second feed of their lives of 1ml grow and 1ml bloom nutes per ltr of water, i dont leave my water to stand overnight or anything i just put my tap (its fairly good water here for london) water containers in the room a few hours before watering to allow it to get up to growroom temp.

The pics il explain in reverse order because they came out in a somewhat different order to what i wanted  im still a computer noob!

Ok, starting in reverse order,

The last pic you can clearly see my temps and humidity are ideal at the moment, its getting chilly here now in the uk and were gearing up for winter.

The next five pics are of my two nl5 x haze mist that were vegged for six weeks and grew to 28" in that time, one was topped, the one that was left untopped i had to bend over a bit and tie her down yesterday, she was 4'6" yesterday and still stretching despite being right under the 600w hps, i tied her down because i was having to put the light right up to cater for that one plant and the rest were getting less light because of it, she looks more sativa as opposed to her topped sister and is really showing her leggy haze parentage, i do hope she stops stretching soon tho. Both are starting to form small buds everywhere already.

The next four pics up are my three bbc's (big buddha cheese) they were vegged under the same lights and are of the same age but are staying squat as fuck, again all three are starting to flower up nicely.

The next two pics are my flower room overall, light on and off.

And the first three pics are my clones taken from the above plants that i only gave four days veg after rooting then flower, i use the branches that i prune off the lower of the plants to make my clones but i used to throw these away, as i say theyre just to fill in the gaps between the bigger plants, so im not bothered about them too much, so i just root them, stick two in a pot, veg them for a few days to root the pots a little, then flower, if they give me about 7grams each il be happy, they always make a nice bit of bonus yeild come harvest time.

All of these plants should be finished and out of the flower room by the time iv raised my mums and got my 25 clones rooted and ready for the SOG.

Yea its good mate, i went last year, loads of hydroponic and organic nute and equipment retailers and a few big brand seed breeders were there also.

There was one at either earls court or olympia i cant remember, a few years back now but i was on holiday at the time so i couldnt make it there, but heard from a mate it was really good, lots of freebie seeds and nutes were flying around apparently.

Thanks for the VIP box, running low on munchies in here lol,how long you plan on veggin are you just gonna root and flower? You say you get about 7g from the fill ins? When i root and cloned i didnt get more than about 2g per clone but they were very little clones.Ive got 4 clones for my rotation that are about 8inches tall with 5 sets of leaves,i would show you but my modem crashed and im on my old one and all my pics and stuff to take pics is on the other modem.IMO if i had 30 of these it would be worth it,But when i clone and go st8 to flower to much work and very little yield. Why are your plants so stretched?

Heres a couple of pics of my last "fill in" clones. They only 3days veg because i had to make room in my veg room. They gave me 7-10g each one and i had 6 of them.

The next grow which is the 25 clone sog, the clones will be vegged for about 4 weeks, two weeks in the smaller pots then two weeks or so in the 6ltr pots before they get flowered, i wana get at least an ounce from each clone so hence the extra veg time, im hoping they dont go above 2 foot tall or my light penetration into the canopy will be compromised.

The untopped nlxhaze that stretched so much is a very haze like pheno, ie the stretching despite being just 6" under the 600w hps.

I have spoken to franco of greenhouse seeds about this on international cannagraphic forums and he says the stretching is a trait of the nlxhaze because the haze parentage is so dominant, its basically a haze crossed with nl#5 to reduce the finishing time and control the height somewhat plus they were vegged under the 125w eco-lites for six weeks which arent the greatest for growing high light demanding sativas or sativa dominant crosses so i think that has a bit to do with the stretch, but like i say its still going for it even under the 600 so theres not a great deal i can do about it, its just the way she wants to grow, shes tied down now anyway, looking back i should have topped them both but its too late now.

Just got some work to go finish off then il get some updated pics up.
