Got mine on Friday. Once again, thank you Jack, the Vault, Mephisto Genetics and the people who encouraged me to take part.
One thing I am really interested about is that after only 3 'I've started growing posts' there are already differences in methods. 2 people have soaked while @whitebb2727 went straight into soil.
@thewanderer718 that looks like a peat pot, do you transplant or bury it and let it dissolve?
I already have a full grow cupboard with 2 autos at week 6, so i will be a few weeks before i can start the sour livers. On one hand i am sad as i want to get them started as soon as i can, but on the other hand I will have had a few weeks of reading about different methods, and will be able to see what seems to work well and hopefully use them to improve my own grow.
Good luck with your grows everyone, keep the updates coming!

Yes its a peat pot. I rarely ever use them but my nursery is pretty full right now and i had a few around so thought i would use them. Right before they get transplanted, i will put the bottom of the peat pot in water until it's soaked, then tear the bottom off and plant the rest of it.

My thought on it is its a seed. It grows. It doesn't need help or extra steps.

I grow hundreds if not more seeds a year. Veggies, cannabis and flowers. It would be way too time consuming for those extra steps.

When a tap root forms it develops many fine roots. Root hairs. Those actually grab and lock onto things to hold the plant in place. Extra steps allow a chance for damage to those root hairs. That damage can allow bacteria or pathogens in that cause damping off.

People think it saves time. It doesn't really. A day or two for it to germ then into to soil and another couple days for it to be above ground. Straight to soil will be above ground in about the same time but will already have roots 4-6 inches long.

At the same time to each their own. Do what you are comfortable with.

I germ in paper towel and sandwich baggies and put that onto me wifi box for warmth, been doing it like this for about a year I wanna go straight to soil like whitebb but have a had a couple duds here and there and it just feels good seeing life going into the soil

I also germed in paper towel, they shot taproot in under 24 hours. I planted them straight to final 1.5gallon fabric pots.

I am going to do a side by side comparison of mediums because I want to see for myself, my own experience, Miracle Grow potting soil 20% perlite, using straight tap water from my own well nothing else VS coco-coir/perlite 50% and GH Flora trio nutes

I can up-pot if need be at anytimee to bigger fabric pots but think 1.5 gallon fabric breathable pots will be enough for there projected height given by the breeder
