You should get out more dagwood, and live a little
I'm pretty sure I'm living a hell of a lot more fully than you, canine canoodler. It's been a rough week at work. The corporate masters are attempting to move away from their last failed Magic Bullet to their next Magic Bullet (which will fail -- rinse and repeat). I really needed the sleep last night. I'm glad you have enough time to ponder my life, though. You must REALLY be living! Thanks for your concern anyway.

Been there. It was financially worth it for me, for a while, but it wears on you. I hope you've figured out an exit plan.

I see a lot of what Trump is doing as almost exactly the same kind of mismanagement that was going on at that old place. Especially the way he makes and implements decisions without regard to consequences or implementation. Depends on government workers to figure it out, then reviles them. Witness the bungled Muslim Ban and how it disrupted airports or his across the board budget cuts without understanding what all is necessary and how the work gets done. Much less, how he can't legally make some of those cuts. It's going to be a nightmare for a government worker.

No need to ban. Soon enough you're gonna explode with a tremendous deluge of alt fact, vomit / stool swamp liquid.

Recently, Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort, which he refers to as his Florida White House, increased annual membership from $ 100,000 to $ 200,000 per year. Trump has already spent $ 10 million vacationing at Mar-a-Lago in one month. By comparison, the Obamas spent $ 85 million over eight years.

It's bad enough he didn't pay taxes.

Now, he's wasting ours on absolute bull shit while increasing his personal income.

But, no corruption or anything. How many people could get medical insurance this year on what those assholes are wasting?

You are so right! Anyone who has spent a fair amount of time in the corporate world laughs at the idea that a business leader would make a good executive branch leader. It's an entirely different skill set and outlook (painfully shortsighted). We're switching from out-sourcing to...wait for it...in-sourcing (which doesn't mean any of the work is coming back from over-seas). Off-shoring, Lift-and-Shift, Agile and now in-sourcing. These are all things that were going to save us but instead have almost sunk us. All of the internal software development jobs are being relocated to a different state over the next couple of years (yet another magic bullet), so my exit strategy is to not move!

Excellent call on the boneheaded shit Trump has done so far! Maybe Dilbert will start being set in the Oval Office for a while. It sure would fit!

noun: in-sourcing
  1. the practice of using an organization's own personnel or other resources to accomplish a task.
What a brilliant idea. Using an organizations own personnel to accomplish a task. I wonder how many meetings and cuntsultants were needed to come up with this idea. I'll bet you and your co-workers were amazed and awed. I'll also bet that you are dealing with a work load that forces you to self-prioritize because you managers cut work forces and didn't cut the work load. Just like Trump is planning to do:

Trump’s budget plan brings uncertainty, layoff fears

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/powerpost/wp/2017/02/28/trumps-budget-plan-brings-uncertainty-layoff-fears/?utm_term=.47ce4ae07f98

“Many of the federal agencies that would be targeted by these budget cuts already have been cut to the bone this decade as a result of harmful austerity policies,” said American Federation of Government Employees President J. David Cox Sr. “Americans see firsthand the result of these budget cuts when they have to wait in longer lines to visit a Social Security office or go through airport security screening.

“Further cuts could leave some agencies with not enough employees to do the work that’s required, forcing them in some cases to outsource the work to more costly contractors — negating any of the financial benefit from the cuts in the first place.”

It’s too early to know exactly what Trump’s cuts would mean for the workforce, but Connolly is sure it will have “enormous ramifications” for government staffers.

I'm willing to bet this sounds familiar to you.

In our case, out-sourcing or in-sourcing, the work will still be done in India.
