It's a Vivosun 1000 watt dimmable ballast. You could look it up.Im fairly sure your mistaken. Use a 1kw bulb or risk it blowing up.
Use a 600 watt ballast for the 600 watt bulb.

Did a quick look and didnt see anything saying it was differant than otuer dimmable ballasts...It's a Vivosun 1000 watt dimmable ballast. You could look it up.
I wasn't aware of that, thanks though. You are correct.Did a quick look and didnt see anything saying it was differant than otuer dimmable ballasts...
I have a few of random brands myself. They are made to dim the bulb they are rated for.
No prob bud ive burned out ny equipment before and hate it.I wasn't aware of that, thanks though. You are correct.
Right, I actually planted some with just microbes, and 8ppm water. First watering, I'm not sure why I checked it, but the run off was over 300. Existing salts in the peat. I checked a cup of just peat. Over 500 ppm came out with 1 flush straight out of the bag.And as far as flushing it I've never done it but I'm a light feeder (just enough does just fine) I flush before harvest but never planting but I mix my own soilless mix 5 parts peat 5 parts coco 6 parts perlite and 4 parts verm and I add zero nutes before planting just water in with 100 to 150 ppm nute solution then proceed as usual
Try doing the mix with the media first, at a 3:1 soil:hydroton ratio. Imo this is better than a base layer, but base layers help in 5g plus.Just got some GROW!T Clay Pebbles (Hydroton). I want to experiment with using these with Peat. I want to try using this as a drainage layer. I've noticed my 1 gallon pots dry out quite a bit and get quite dry but it stays moist in the bottom inch or two. I'd like to even out that moisture distribution, and make sure I'm not choking the base roots out with water when it is watered. I might back the perlite off a little and mix a few pebbles in the mix itself to help with aeration.
