1.5 Week Seedling Curling

Hello!

I've got a small grow started. Setup:
light: 1 GalaxyHydro LED 600W ( 12'' - 14'' away from plants)
soil: Black Gold Natural and Organic + Fertilizer (think it's the first one go to: blackgold.bz/products/organic/)
room: walkin closet--no windows.
watering schedule: I check at least once a day if the first inch of soil, an inch away from the stem, is moist. If it's not moist, I dribble a few tablespoons of water in a circle ~1'' away from the stem. Sometimes I spray the rest of the soil around the plant with a sprayer if it seems dusty.

I very carelessly didn't read the "+ Fertilizer" part of the soil, and I'm concerned about the curling on my seedlings. It might be my imagination, but it seems also like the /very/ tips on the actual cannabis-looking leaves might be slightly browned?

See attached pics of the stronger of the two plants (might have really fucked up the other one transplanting it too early. I was worried about it being rootbound).

I'm pretty excited about this and hope I didn't fuck it up immediately!

I'd like to know what I should do about the curling, but if you spot any other errors in how I'm handling it, please let me know.

Quit dribbling and spraying water on it. Let it have a dry wet cycle.

Don't poke it to see if it needs water. Lift the pot. If it feels light water it.

Is there a part of the forum I can look for more details about the dry-wet cycle (assuming this gets explained a lot).

I don't know. It doesn't need to get bone dry. Look up over watering. that's what is causing the curled leaves.

Another reason is as soil dries the ph swings and allows proper nutrient uptake. The new grower section is a good place to start.

Not sure but seeds and very young seedlings do not really like a heavy nutrient environment. If that soil you are using is real hot it may be causing issues with your young seedling.

Some hot soils will burn up a seedling.

I have heard good things about the Black Gold soil but I am not familiar with it as it relates to seedlings. If it is really hot soil, get some lighter soil that isn't full of nutrients and do a careful transplant, then you can go back to that soil once they get a little age and size on them; or you can carry on and see how she does. Nothing you can really do to change hot soil short term that I am aware of.

I think I'll just try leaving them there for 2, 3 days since they haven't stopped growing (second set of non-seed leaves coming in). I'm worried about transplanting them more than necessary since I don't have any more seeds :P

Per you and the overall feel of that thread, I've been overdoing it. Seems like several inches into it has to be dry (which would make the pot light, I see) for it to be ready for watering again.
