Yay, I'm right in the middle of that shit. I can't go out in the yard when it's nice without getting one or two on me in the years they aren't bad, I'tll be a buffet this year. Meh.. cannabis cures everything, right?don't take this too lightly. ticks spread many diseases worse than lyme disease. we're talking stuff that can put a man in the grave.
a (much) worse than normal tick season is predicted for huge swaths of the country this year. be mindful everyone.
tuck those jeans into your socks and palpate yourselves for these sick fuckers anytime after going outside.
monitor for symptoms if you find one in you.
even if its a brown, wood, or dog tick might might not carry lyme they all got lots of nasteys that dam thing could have been sucking rat blood a week ago , its been on him at least 24 hours its feeding looks to me its been there couple days scary shit !!!I hear its the smaller, tiny actually, deer ticks that are the problem. Not the dog ticks like the one you have. I think. I went for the shot and after my first dose had pain in my forearms from the shot. Fuck that. I told the doctor what he could do with his lyme vaccine. Haven't had any problems since. My aunt had lyme disease. Couple other people I know too.
I don't think yours was a deer tick Neo, but what do I know?
For a small fee ,,I will do what any good friend would do ,,and pretend to know all about your situation and pick up some wormer from petco for you ,,I will also hit you with a 7in1 shot ,,also from petco ....you should be healed ....Even guna buy you a dried pig ear to chew on ......The stupid thing was I didn't even feel it or see it. The wife felt it as we were making the foam forest and initially thought it was a pimple. After we were sitting on the couch she remembered feeling something and then snapped the pic still not knowing what it was. She pulled it out Willy nilly, saw it move, freaked out, ran to the bathroom and flushed it down the toilet. So I couldn't positively identify it under my microscope. But I've pulled them off my parent's dog and this one was pretty small compared to those. I'm pretty confident it was a deer tick and I'm dying.
if u get them off with in 24 hr u pretty safe,i have had 30-40 on me at one time just gotta stay calm an start picking used to be all wood ticks up till about 15 yrs ago now all deer ticks I havnt seen a wood tick few yrs nowThey have gotten crazy around here last few years. Been picking them off my outside cat all winter. Never had to worry about it during the winter a decade or so ago. Warmer weather? Nah can't be it, lol.
Lyme's disease can be nasty. One of my wives had an aunt that got it. Last few years of her life were not pleasant.
Like 420, I used to find them on me all the time. Can't recall ever being bitten. But according to the phlebotomist, my skin is like leather.
Get that shit checked out man!
Glad they don't seem to like me. The woman I spoke of never remembered being bitten by a tick. I think it was probably misdiagnosed over the years, only in the last 3 years of her life was she aware of it. But she had really bad joint issues, to the point where you could clearly see they were swollen and inflamed. According to the docs, it was all caused by LD.if u get them off with in 24 hr u pretty safe,i have had 30-40 on me at one time just gotta stay calm an start picking used to be all wood ticks up till about 15 yrs ago now all deer ticks I havnt seen a wood tick few yrs now
Based on the visible induration and erythema I would definitely take a course of antibiotics and I do not believe in prophylactic antibiotics, except in rare circumstances and this is one of them. Also need to check and make sure the head was not left in there if she yanked it off.Yeah I had a bullseye acouple years back and took doxycycline. They had me test once and said it was negative and then said it's always negative the first few weeks. So then I said well why'd you have me waste my money you slimy fucks. And just kept the 21 day course and never retested. Gonna go to the med express tomorrow and check out the receptionist I guess.
when coming home from bush I strip outdoor use mirror to check, they r finding out now some folks r immune to lyme, its the fall ticks that r real nasty they been on rodents all summerGlad they don't seem to like me. I live in the woods so checking for them is common place.
Yeah I'm at one of the fed's drug dealers now. 10 days of doxycycline is the standard now. I swear last time it was 21 days. She did good actually and got it all out but still pissed me off I couldn't utilize my 20 dollar USB microscope. If I can't look at tiny vampire bugs what the fuck good is a 20 dollar USB microscope!Based on the visible induration and erythema I would definitely take a course of antibiotics and I do not believe in prophylactic antibiotics, except in rare circumstances and this is one of them. My dad taught me never to pull a tick, but to use a penetrating oil. It suffocates them and they back out on their own. No head left in the wound, which is what you get when you yank'em.if u get them off with in 24 hr u pretty safe,i have had 30-40 on me at one time just gotta stay calm an start picking used to be all wood ticks up till about 15 yrs ago now all deer ticks I havnt seen a wood tick few yrs now
Yeah those guys don't play fair their enforcers are the baddest and they have no sense of humor. We need a better union/lobby.Yeah I'm at one of the fed's drug dealers now. ......snip....
No tick can survive my sphincter.Ever have to ask someone to remove a tick from your sphincter.
