I'm all for soil. Not a fan of hydro. But have been to Amsterdam and thoroughly researched their cannabis scene, I have to respectfully disagree. Amsterdam is 99% hydro in my opinion. All grown for weight. In fact, you can get bud labeled "bio" in Amsterdam leading you to believe its organic. It's not. It's just grown in soil. Their "bio" which is synthetic nutes grown in soil, is typically their connoisseur quality.i know most of the best tasting bud and almost every amsterdamn grow i have ever seen uses soil... there must be a reason behind it... i hate when people get offended so easy on here.. everyones got something to say or add so just be preceptive
Seriously, dude? Would you expect anything more from a member of this site? Like you really think I noticed that? Uh, nope. 9 years or 9 days. It's all just time, man. LolIt's been over 7 years........
I wonder if hydro NOW tastes as good as soil seeing how there's been over 7 years of progress and development in the industry. HaIt's been over 7 years........
I was under the same impression and have had many debates with hydro growers throughout the years and a majority of them will eventually, although passively, acquiesce and admit that yes, hydro doesn't have the level of taste and/or smell that a good soil or even a soiless mix can produce. I think coco may be a cross of both and may be the best balance of quality and efficiency for a commercial grower but I could be wrong. Time will tell. I'm about to harvest a Tahoe og pheno (Cali connection seed) in soil in just a few weeks. I'm running the same plant in my 6 site hydro system so I'm looking forward to comparing the results. I will be adding budswell and a terp product to try and maximize flavor as much as I can. If they're comparable, I'll be a full time hydro guy with my end game being a top feed drain to waste or recirculating coco grow on tables. I have nothing to back it up but my research indicates that coco may be the best of both worlds. I'm afraid to run it because I'm not on tables and don't wanna have to flush frequently. Too much work. Don't have the dough to convert either, yet.I don't know. I think soil grown is pretty damn good. I've yet to come across any soil grown weed that gives me a headache. It's usually hydro that does it for me.
Hydro has the weight. But soil has the flavor and aroma. Usually.
Never got good flavor in soil I could never get a complete flush now as for hydro my plants grow better and I can remove every trace of nutrients by running just fresh water in my rez for a week and get delicious nuggetsLol says the guy growing with LED's hahahah
The taste might be a little better in soil but quality... absolutely not. Hydro can put out better bud than soil in some cases and soil can put out better bud than hydro. But to say that coco and soil will always give better quality bud over hydro just shows how little you know. Thanks for the laugh
Ive vaped a lot of herb. And will say, there's a bigger difference between growers than there is strains. Hydro growers don't know that. They only have 1 sense, the sense of profitting off of ignorant people with money.Imo flavor depends on the pheno of the plant
Yeah bro how long u flush for??Ive vaped a lot of herb. And will say, there's a bigger difference between growers than there is strains. Hydro growers don't know that. They only have 1 sense, the sense of profitting off of ignorant people with money.
Hydro is a joke. It makes me sick. And those additives are sugar contaminant. I dont give a shit what big mike told you on a grow forum. The plant soaks up sugars and nutes (theres no micro life in hydro, they are simple molecules ready for uptake) Doesnt provide stomach relief. Soil bud is usually legit, unless the grower is using hydro nutes from the bottles. Thats the only bad tasting soil bud there is.
One mans trash is another man's treasure i guess. But most people defending hydro don't vape, dont know what a green hit is, say that blunts ruin the taste, and never heard of getting euphoric from squeezing buds. Because those things, complex flavors and smells, don't exist in the hydro cannabis world. Hydro smells so bad i cant tell if its fake or not.
Ive seen the attempts at improving hydro. Ive had the best hydro there is in the country, and it still has less flavor than good mexi brick. And how did they get any flavor whatsoever? Its basically a "hybrid" coco operation perpetually fed bottled bens/mycos and saltless nutes like Mills.
So, improving hydro is making it more like soil... What other evidence do you need. The only hydro that ever stunk up my living room had more money in bottled micros and "hybridization methods" than Ive spent on my entire soil.
then they bombard their herb woth too much of everything...I'm all for soil. Not a fan of hydro.
