Hard to say what the efficiency will be. I seemed to get power surges with the 600 watt version of that variable supply. The constant current is not working on my supply and I think a surge may have damaged it. I'll probably buy another to play with, maybe the version with trim pots rather than the digital control. BTW, I was just running 36v COBs with three 12volt computer supplies connected in series.
