Hey, I'm a first time grower and going to start my first grow soon. Seeds already sprouted and needing to build my grow room. I am looking for advice of either having 2 4x4 room or 1 6x6 room. The 2 4x4 rooms will have about the same ft2 of the 6x6. Would having the 2 smaller rooms be better to split my harvest in half and offset by a month to keep a more stready harvest. Or should I just focus on 1 large harvest. Hoping for an answer quick, going to start buying lumber soon for the room/rooms. Thanks

Running a perpetual system is a lot of work and since its your first grow I would just do 1 harvest at a time for now and get a 2 or 3 harvests done then tweak and change the setup.

Thanks for the quick reply. Since I have limited space to build my room. Would u recommend to build 1 4x4 room, do a full grow or 2, tweet anything, Then build another another room down the road.

Get things figured out before you expand.. There are so many ways to grow this incredible plant..sog, scrog, vertical, Lst, super croppig, reveg, on and on.. Every grower develops different techniques... You will too.. in time..

I cant tell you how many times i have changed the flower or veg rooms in one way or another.
I wouldnt build separate flower rooms, It doubles some of the equipment that you need like fans dehumidifier a/c
I prefer one larger room for flower, its easy to divide a room in half and have a separate veg room
You dont have to fill it full your first run or 2
Every area is different and has its own challenges its figuring them out.

2 rooms, one veg, one flower. Honestly, I'd say add a 3rd small 2x2 to 2x4 room dedicated to drying.

It really depends on how much bud you need. Running one room, figure a minimum of 12-14 weeks from seed to harvest every time. With two rooms, you can put a plant in the flower room every 4 wks +/- and pull one every 4 wks +/-.

i run two tents, one for veg and one for flower, i've just about got a 2 week cycle going, one in, one out, every two weeks.
if this is your first grow, it would probably be a good idea to just get through a complete cycle to see how it goes.
if you want a perpetual thing after that, start a seed every two weeks (or w/e you want your interval to be) till you get some big enough to take cuttings from, then start cloning.

I would run two. You can veg one and flower the other though an 8 week veg is quite a long time. Lighting a 4x4 is easier and you could just run them both in a cycle while doing your veg and flower in the same tent.

since you've never grown before, we'd suggest going simple to get some sort of basic foundation on growing vs over-complicating things by having two setups. Focus on understanding the plants' needs, how they grow, what works, what doesn't and reaping a nice bountiful harvest.

Once you sort of figure things out after a couple of grows you can begin to modify your space to accommodate your needs. You may want to scrog vs sog, or just run auto's vs photo's. lots of choices, methods, opinions.

For start, I would recommend 1 room as well. Just to get the feel of it. Get used to your area and your plants. Once you have a hang of it you could decide what you want

fwiw, when I first read the question I thought to mention that when you do get to the point of doing so, configuring things so you're running two separate flowering areas you begin to have the option of using a 'flip box' to reduce equipment cost. Typically those are used for hps setups but if you do a DIY led projects with your drivers external you could do the same approach and cut your driver cost in 1/2...
