Sounds great! Im saving some money and Im gonna build one. Cant wait!If your grow game is on point 720w is awesome, but you could dim these to around 550 to 600w and still crush it.nice to have the extra power there if ya want it.720w is about like running a 1000w hps in there par wise.
Is that a bed frame?! If so... niiiiiiice.
Get your own soldering rig , it is really really easy. Look even a growmouse can do it!Just finished building my 6 cob kit from cutter. Looks a little sloppy but it works. Now I just need to get one the electricians at work to solder the potentiometer and I'll be all set.
nice job,Fun saturday afternoon building my mau5 kit from cutter
everything looks better in black, nice rig
Electrician at work said he'd do it for me, this way I don't need to buy a soldering iron.Get your own soldering rig , it is really really easy. Look even a growmouse can do it!
The diffusers are like little protective lenses that protect the LES/COB. They fit inside the reflector. I don't think many people use them as they cost you a few % in efficiency.Yo!
I need some help lol
I am a total newb with led.
I just got into the cmh game and was forced to down size my space by a lot.
Cmh doesn't work for me anymore. To hot.
I have a spectrum king closet case as well but I want more.
My tent is a 20"x3'x6'
I will be running just this tent and the options for the kit, seem alien to me lol I've been giving myself a crash course in leds this weekend but still have a lot to learn.
I want to get the kit that has 4 Cree leds. Wiring is not an issue for me, rather the spectrum and the add ons. I want a configuration that is good, seed to harvest. What would you guys and gals recommend?
Also, what are the diffusers that I can add onto the order? I can't seem to find what they are for or if they would be necessary for my setup.
I'm sure questions like this have been answered a million times but I'm only on page 20 of 90 something, of this thread.
I appreciate the time
DGC represent!
Peace

So, just to really dumb it down for me lol you would recommend the standard, 4 3500k cobs? You wouldn't mix and match anything? I was thinking 2 3500k 1 3000k and 1 either 5000k or 6500k. If that's even obtainable or practical. Much appreciated for your input. I'm slowly getting through this thread and watching growmau5' YouTube series. I'm a bit behind the times lolThe diffusers are like little protective lenses that protect the LES/COB. They fit inside the reflector. The standard build for cxb3590 is 3500k run at 1400mA using meanwell hlg185-1400 A version for no dimming or B version for dimming options. 4 COBs per driver 200w total.
The higher kelvin has more blue spectrum. Blue is good for veg. 3500k maybe 4000k is the sweet spot for a multi purpose veg and bloom spectrum.I think I found my answer.
I could get 5k or 65k spectrum, which would allow a higher cri but make it less efficient, on the photons, which are more crucial to photosynthesis then cri. Correct? Lol I have a pretty good understanding of lighting and plants, so I think this is making sense for me. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Peace
I'll have a go at the answer, someone please correct me if I'm wrong! Can anyone clarify this for me please? Thanks.
So , day 40 and the cherry pie is packing on the weight! Running the COB'S at 290 watts, and the plants are starting to get that grand daddy purple color.Day 28, running at 300W, 2.78amps, starting to smell good, filling in nicely. View attachment 3904911
