My avatar Photo is 1 month growth from seed. 1 gallon smart pot. Coco Coir Medium. Just transplanted yesterday March 24th from Soil.

I am using Bloom 0-6-5 from cutting edge solutions but I am certain that my bloom solution is not enough. I was thinking of dilating 10:1 water urine for nitrogen.

I need a solution for calcium.

What other Nutes should I add? Would baked and pulverized egg shells be good for calcium?

Just get some balanced nutes. They are not that hard to find.

You know its at minimum a two part line?

I've been using dry MaxiBloom for years. MaxiGro is fine at first but not necessary. Coco, coco/perlite, mapito--it all produces pro-quality bud. My grow methods never allowed 7g/gallon, I'm flowering at 5g/gallon in mapito right now.

Additional cal/mag shouldn't be needed in coco with MaxiBloom. I've run into magnesium deficiencies so I'm adding epsom salts at almost 1g per gallon of nute solution.

Coco should be soaked in dilute nute solution or cal/mag before use (unless you're using a premium brand bag). Otherwise, the cation exchange will steal Ca and Mg.

I'm currently using the GH flora series left over from hydro. I don't start a chem nute regimen until flower. When these bottles are up, Ill give the dry maxibloom a try. I've had good luck with the brand. I mix nutes the day before. Then bubble all night. Dry nutes will work fine for what I'm doing.

*Rather have dry cause the fucking liquid bottles leak when I shake them. Shit gets everywhere.

It's great stuff and cost is small.
1 bag vs company x's entire bottled product line..

I use a thrift store blender with a little warm water in it to mix up the Maxi. Or you can shake it like a mofo for two minutes. Something to think about.

Don't be too high and leave the MaxiBloom container open. It will soak up humidity and crystallize. You can break it up with a spoon and it's still usable, just annoying.

Some people shake a jar of hot water containing the nutes before adding to the reservoir/bigger container. I've never done that but I do use a recirculating pump to help dissolve things.

Price and ease of delivery are two big reasons to use dry nutes. I've had success with Jack's Hydro but I became tired of adding epsom (a necessary extra step).

Hopefully a General Hydroponics rep is reading our stuff. Maybe I don't know what exactly is in the bottles. Pretty colors, though. Maroon, green, pink.

Is it dye making the color? If so, I'd still pay the price if y'all would stop adding that shit. I can read the bottle. Label it with a big 1, 2, 3. Whatever is making the color, It'd be awesomely cool if you leave it out.

*stoner thought...

If you're into real simple chemistry:leaf:... this is my conclusion of 8 years and many hydro-store-markup-purchases
I think Maxibloom is mostly monopotassium phosphate and red/pink coloring

Reverse osmosis water
PH 6.5

pH: the "organic" way
Up: Potassium Bicarbonate
Down: Citric Acid

Grow:
PPM 600-1200

Kelp Meal - 1/4lb (1/4lb at a time)(for the Micro nutrients and grow plant hormone(s) Cytokinin ect.) brewed in hot water diluted to 5 gallons and bubbled-bag strained

Epsom Salts - 1 part (Magnesium Sulfate)
Calcium Nitrate - 1 part
Diammonium Phosphate - 1 part
Potassium Nitrate - 1 part

Pre-Flower water change-out, for soil stop using kelp etc.

Bloom:
PPM 1200

Alfalfa Meal 1/2lb (1/4lb at a time)(first half of flower only)(for the Micro nutrients, vitamins, and bloom plant hormone Triacontanol) brewed in hot water diluted to 5 gallons and bubbled-bag strained
Epsom Salts - 1 part (Magnesium Sulfate)
Calcium Nitrate - 1 part
Mono Potassium Phosphate- 1 part

Mid-flower water change-out, for soil stop using alfalfa

Last few weeks-Same bloom formula, No alfalfa

Flush
RO water 3 days
Fresh RO water again 7 days

Harvest.

Sorry.. I had to
hateful and nice comments welcome :fire:
