600 watt LED grow

I have been curious bout LEDS and Flower . I have been using them for veg for about 4 years even the cheap ones work fine. So I am thinking about switching to led in my main tent and decide to purchase a Viparspectra 600 watt led light and flower one plant in a 3 gallon pot scrog in a 2x4x5 tent. I picked the light because it draws 278 watts from the wall which is the same as some of the higher priced LED Lights . I want to see what it will do.

I have noticed that when I veg with leds I only feed them every other week and let the pots become light enough for me to move easily or with small pots pick them up and they feel light. The plants actually seem to need less nutes and water. I am also running a 6 inch fan to exhaust the tent. I read somewhere that temps do matter with leds as it increases their efficiency. Thats debatable but this light does give off some heat and you do need led grow glasses. I buy Apollo horticulture and they are almost as good as my friends method sevens.

If this one one works out and I get at least 114 grams of bud off this light them I will buy the 1200. I have seen some nice vids on Led lights other than the Black dog and the ones that have the best yields are with scrogs. The penetration of the light is only about 2 feet using my old fashion hand technique. This light does give off some heat but little tent is only 78 degrees and it got up to 87 degrees with a 150 watt HPS I used just for the heck of it. I pulled 185 grams with a 5 gallon scrog dwc. I would have done a dwc but I am lazy.hahaha

Use an old meter that measures foot candles. They are really cheap.

For under 200 dollars this led seems to be doing the job. I am glad I am using the 3 gallon pot its a plus. If I had used a 5 gal. I would have run into problems. I normally use 5 gallon pots and would use one if the tent was say 6 feet 3 inches. I have learned that you can flower in 3 gallon pots no problem. This strain supper lemon haze is super stretchy but I will say that the led is keeping the stretch to a minimum. For the closet grower 2 of these in a 3x3 tent would do the job in a scrog. I defoliated the plant by removing all of the leaves that were light green and some of the bigger fan leaves that are BELOW THE BUDS dont mess with the ones that are attached to buds and if you do make sure its only to give light to another bud that shows promise.
