I got these to control mine. Seems to work fine also. DL Weather Proof Mechanical Thermostat for Outdoor or Indoor (Made in Holland)
Did you comment without reading the whole thread? The points you made exist in just the few posts preceding the one you wrote. Scroll back.Uhm......sorry?
I see they say that this tstat can be used to control 'AC or DC' fans but I'd be more comfortable if they gave a voltage rating to assure it's OK to use this with line voltage devices.I got these to control mine. I can't see any need for a tstat in a grow op to do anything other than control temp to a certain setpoint. Your plants don't care about weekends.but i'm going to theorize that it might mean like set the week days to be X*f and the weekends Y*f,
so nothing wrong with using a non-dig thermostat? ok, thanks for the help +repI can't see any need for a tstat in a grow op to do anything other than control temp to a certain setpoint. Your plants don't care about weekends.
Sure, any tstat with NO & NC contacts will do. This thread started out being about a particular thermostat which happens to be digital but also can switch a line voltage, for either a heater or a cooling fan. You don't necessarily need a digital tstat, just one with both NO & NC contacts.so nothing wrong with using a non-dig thermostat? ok, thanks for the help +rep
Alright, my lazy butt just pulled out the spec sheet on the thermostat:I see they say that this tstat can be used to control 'AC or DC' fans but I'd be more comfortable if they gave a voltage rating to assure it's OK to use this with line voltage devices.
Yeah, not bad for 45$ shipped The catch is you have to know how to wire the thing... but thats really not difficult..LOL. It does a great job.Yep, that's the right stuff. The SPDT switch allows control of either a heating or cooling appliance. The contacts are rated to switch 2400W, so you could conceivably control an aircon unit with it.
