Lol, the town I live in starts with an 'L'.

In college, my nickname was the L (town name) Liberal.

I was a business major, my circle of friends were mostly conservatives.

Now, 45 years later, we're so far to the right that it's absurd.

So, yeah, I'd like to see the party move to the left a little.
But I'd still vote for Hillary over Trump even though that makes you cringe.
I vote for what I believe is the greater good. I prefered Sanders, I don't always get what I want but I'll always be a team player till the end.

We got played in the primaries, on both sides of the aisle.

Perhaps it's not about differences but similarities.

What happens when a candidate comes along who dispenses with party and just talks about the issues?

He/she wins

Sanders has proven political labels are societal constructs designed to divide. Moderate Democrats call him a 'far-left "radical"' and condemn his policies as being "too progressive", while Republicans deep in "Trump country" in places like Kentucky and West Virginia applaud his conviction for single-payer and helping the working class.

Yeah, but that's not happening.

The right isn't planet friendly enough and they engineered the wealth redistribution from the bottom and middle to the top over the last 30 something years for starters.

Better chance of hitting the lottery and getting struck by lightning the same day.
