Question about node branches..

Good day everyone I have a question in which I don't believe has been asked before about node branches. My plants are about 5 or 6 weeks old now and if I decide to take cuttings from a "mother plant" if i take cuttings from a vegetative plant will the node brances grow back? Also what and where are node branches? Here's a pic of my first grow.. thank you all.

So those very little leaf looking things are the node branches?

I believe it's where the main branch begins from between those two little ones. Right up until the next set. That's a node space.

Oh I think I get it now, Last question is this do you clone the node branches or just cut the fan leaves?

I'm not the best person to ask how to clone. I just killed 5 of 5 not too long ago.

Oh okay I've just been lurking for 2 months not learning much about cloning. I'll dig some more thanks for all the help

Plants need to be bigger. You need about 6 nodes on the plant just to get 1 clone because the cutting needs 3 nodes.
Be patient you are a couple weeks away from being able to clone

Thanks for the reply. I'm in no rush I know not to clone yet but I would like to gather all the info about nodes and cloning that I need for when the time comes. Better to be prepared right?

I did bro I watched all these videos and saw all these threads of people just doing it and not explaining anything.. At all.

a "node" is just the fat part of the main stem where other stems grow. when you take cuttings, as long as you leave one node on the branch you're cutting it'll grow back, if you cut it back past the first node it won't grow back, it'll just dry up and drop off the main stem and that node will pretty much stop growing new branches. it may sprout a new one eventually, but it'll take a while and its not a sure thing, more like a 50/50 chance

Okay so say I cut a stem with just one fan leaf on it would it root? I know it wouldn't grow back

your cutting needs a meristem-the growing tip of a branch, to continue growing, you might get it to root, but it would take it a long, long time to start growing above the ground, if it ever did.
