Glocks and AR's are restricted weapons in Canada, that cannot be used for hunting, even on your own property. Restricted weapons include ALL hand guns, and military style longs. You have to have restricted firearm training and hold a valid license to purchase. All restricted serials have to be registered with the Feds. These weapons can only be used at firing ranges with designated restricted status. You CAN NOT protect yourself in your home with a firearm of ANY kind. If you shoot an intruder with a gun, not only will you be charged with multiple gun offences, but you leave yourself liable to lawsuit for damages by the intruder (or his/her estate if you were a good shot).
