If the person you vote For spouts racist ideals, then you support racist ideals.

Donald trump and his regime supports racism and discrimination. That's the only thing that should matter here, it's disgusting.

Placing blame for your shortcomings on an unknown population is textbook racism and bigotry. It needs to be stopped and not supported. People should have been outraged by trump and instead they voted for him.

How can anyone debate this? "Blame Islam" is a fucked up world view. Just fucking stop already. When exactly it started isn't really the issue in my mind. The fact that in 2017 it's still going on is mind boggling.

did you even bother to read the page you got the graph from ? I highlighted some shit in red that pretty much says you are dumb as fuck.

Blacks mostly voted Republican from after the Civil War and through the early part of the 20th century. That’s not surprising when one considers that Abraham Lincoln was the first Republican president, and the white, segregationist politicians who governed Southern states in those days were Democrats. The Democratic Party didn’t welcome blacks then, and it wasn’t until 1924 that blacks were even permitted to attend Democratic conventions in any official capacity. Most blacks lived in the South, where they were mostly prevented from voting at all.

But then President Lyndon B. Johnson pushed through the landmark Civil Rights Act of 1964 (outlawing segregation in public places) and his eventual Republican opponent, Sen. Barry Goldwater, opposed it. Johnson got 94 percent of the black vote that year, still a record for any presidential election.

The following year Johnson signed the 1965 Voting Rights Act. No Republican presidential candidate has gotten more than 15 percent of the black vote since.

Clearly the Clinton voters.

No shit the establishment is corrupt. If an individual does not realize that; they have no place in Politics; period.

Therefore; anybody that still supported Clinton over Sanders; has 100% full responsibility for allowing Clinton and the DNC to blatantly fuck over the actual liberals; at which point; of course we were not going to allow another trash Clinton to push their Globalist agenda....

Lol, you better tell that to the millions of extra voters that voted for her but were ignored because of an obsolete rule.

Look at how many States already have some form of "winner takes all" system with respect to the popular vote ffs.

but seriously, the infowars people, when they're not busy talking about gay frogs and false flag syria attacks, are calling conservatism, authoritarianism, and nationalism "the new punk rock" or "the new counter culture".

it's just pathetic.

Earl and Merle Black, a couple of political scientists, have written extensively about this. How Southern Democrats became Republicans. Their narrative begins with the 1948 Dixiecrat Revolt--attempts to dominate the liberal wing of the Democratic Party. Election returns show that in the elections from 1948 to 1956, most ex-Confederate states sent their electoral votes to democratic candidates. But individual county election returns show how close those results were. In other words, people in the South began voting for Republicans in 1952.

Changing conservatism is also part of this explanation. Conservatism was usually most pronounced in the South, and the Democratic Party was the party of conservatism and white supremacy until Nixon. Progressive and liberal wings of the party tried to dominate the Southern democrats, and by the time LBJ did what he did, the South was out and forever in the GOP. And most folks do not recognize that major political parties are always coalition groups, and through the 20th century, the Democratic Party was a coalition of conservatives, liberals, and progressives.

The South was at fault for Trump's election, and this goes back to the primary. Clinton won the "bubba" states in the primary--those southern and midwestern states that would go to Trump in the general election. And so Trump didn't face Sanders, who likely would have been a more formidable foe for Trump. Lots of Bernie voters in the primary voted for Trump, or otherwise voted against Clinton.

The Black brothers argue the gop appealed to racism not directly but through "coded" appeals. The authors failed the analytic challenge. It's tautological.

Example: anyone can disagree with the Israeli government without being anti semetic......applying this same distinction to Politics and Society in the South renders the points in the book useless.

Wrong! The DNC was possessed with the idea of adding a woman to the rolls of "look what we did" list of getting the first minority Pres.
Hell, we haven't even made an "Equal rights amendment" for woman yet!
They ignored the open ended email controversy. Forgot just how fucking much people didn't trust Hillery!
Dude, in all kinds of early polls it was shown that if she ran against Trump - She would loose. In those same polls, it showed that Bernie would have beat Trump in dbl digit percentages!

The parties are as bad as big business....It's in the money......

This relates to the supreme court stupidity that the DEM. congressmen followed......Lets force the "nuclear" option as a protest! I'm not a republican by any means...

But for gods sake! The last 2 opposed nominations were confirmed by less then a 60% vote...Thomas and Alito ,,,,,one was 58 to? and 56 to? - if I remember right..

So why run around like a little bitch child and cry about it? The fucking guy is not as far right as the one he replaces! They only made them selves look stupid....."well they did this - so we're going to do that..."
My kids were better then that as toddlers!

The other side of the coin I see from my view....

Is the total lack of educated voters voting for Trump AND those blinded by fanatic religious beliefs!
4 out of 5 evangelicals voted for Trump.
Trump got about all the redneck, trailer trash, uneducated moron vote....Look at the coal vote as an example.....Trump can roll back all sorts of environmental regulations on coal. It's still cheaper and cleaner to go Natural gas! So where is that coal going to be sold? import it to where? Coal mines shut down for the lack of sales - Not the lowering cost for coal.....The only new or reopened coal mine I have heard of....Is not producing the coal to fuel anything - it's being turned into other products that are sold as hard goods! And that's all in the same company..

I often say that hate is simply lack of education......Well look who trump has with him and who voted for him....

Hillary, for stealing the nomination from the far more likeable candidate who polled better against Trump. Let's see here.

Hillary: Loads of skeletons in her closet, hated by around 70% of the public, poor public speaker and not very inspirational.
Bernie: Few if any skeletons in his closet, one of the most popular politicians in America, and a great inspirational public speaker who packed all of his rallies.

I know! Let's run the candidate who is hated by over 2/3 of the country. What could go wrong?
