Please can someone tell me if this is bud Rott?

If you have bud rot just throw out the affected area and anything that comes in contact with it..
Back in the dispensary days I had it tested for mold spores, none were found.. It is systemic but it doesn't affect the buds till it starts to multiply.. look close with your loupe you can see botrytis spores.. looks like grey trichs... Don't smoke them!
 
That one what was infected suddenly started to show yellow leaves about two days ago and it crept towards the bud then the bud started to turn yellow and purple and all the sugar leaves too , no other plant is like this at all but they all do touch eachother so I am worried now

Keep a very close eye for twisted or wilting sugar leaves.. give em a pull.. if they come out easily inspect that area..
I hate bud rot! Have a fan on to keep humidity down..

i have 2 osculating fans on aswell , I want to put my heat fan on too but with 3 600w hpsand tw0 600 leds the heat goes to 30 oc and above

another option is to cut the largest fat colas now and let the lower parts go another week

the larger colas are more prone to rot

yes the trichs are almost 75 o/o cloudy but I can not see no amber , I read that amber trichs mean the bud is a lot stronger is this true? or is it just a different kind of pain relief/stoned / feeling? also please can I ask you if I should keep them in 24 hours of darkness before harvest or is that a myth ?

The darkness will make the mold grow.. @im4satori is dead on in his advice.. Harvesting the bigger colas first and letting the lower stuff grow is exactly
how to do it..
Have a look and learn from what you see.. Find some rot just by that bud being slightly different ...This is a big learning experience.. I live in a very humid environment..I hate bud rot!
 
I sure someone else can answer this with more accuracy than me but I will give it a stab

ideally your looking for 100% cloudy and maybe some amber 20%

in my experience
rarely some plants don't turn amber or at least not within a time frame im willing to except
I grew an ak47 well over a decade ago
the pheno/mother I kept was a huge yielder

at the time I had less experience and didn't realize the pheno I kept, cloned and grew out in large numbers was a very sativa leaning phenotype
had I picked a different mother from the pack it may have finished sooner

its like have 6 children... there not all going to end up being the same height and weight
seeds are no different ..even if there from the same genotype (same mother and father) it doesn't mean they'll be the same phenotype (share all the same characteristics)
from seed to seed they don't grow as identical twins
each seed has its own traits past down from its parents, grand parents, and great grand parents on both sides (male and female)

I let it run 13 weeks and still no amber but it was cloudy at 11 weeks

on the other hand ive grown some others that went heavy amber in 8 weeks

more amber is more of a body stone

don't quote me here as im not 100% on the science
I think
as the plant ripens the thc converts into other things like cbd or whatever

so early harvest might give a higher thc more up high (happy happy joy) while let it go longer and the thc converts and the high gets more sedative or sleepy

having said that
there is also no benefit to letting it go on and on past its ideal maturity

what I do when growing a new strain (aside from watching the trichs)
I harvest 1 cola at 8 weeks, another at 9, and again at 10

label each and when the time comes I smoke them
sometimes the pot is just as good at 8 weeks as it is at 10
 
I would worry more about cutting it before it rots... Once it's in there it grows fast... If you wait for just another week your losses could double.. or worse! I always harvest early by RIU standards..
 
it also could be that one plant was just less resistant or had a lower immune type system than the others and they'll be fine

I also live in a humid climate
what I do
check all the heavy colas every day... make sure your looking deep into the center stem where it starts
pull the buds away to see thru to the stem

I cut out any signs of rot or mildew plus the buds surrounding it as soon as possible

the sooner you cut it out the less chance of it spreading

worst case ive experienced
for each pound grown I might have lost 2oz

some times if its spring I will harvest early because the humidity is just too high and I know its going to spread fast
if I can keep the humidity in check, I will try and give it more time
 
almost all of their trichs are more than 60o/o or so cloudy I just want to see at least a little amber on some of them too harvest , it is day 57 now .
saying that ,there is one plant which I'm sure is a widow x amnesia haze( AS I HAVE MIXED TWO UP WITH NO NAME) which seems to have majority clear trichs still but is one of the heaviest bulkiest in the garden , it will not stop producing white hairs and only 25o/o of hairs have turned brown. I do have a lot of small under flowers where I did not chop properly before the flip, these are around 1-3rd of the way up all of them , could this be slowing the maturity down?

i would guess its more likely just a more sativa leaning phenotype and it will likely be better for it to run longer
perhaps longer than all the others if that's possible

if you harvest sativa leaning plant too early (in my experience) the high will be up and clear but short
 
some packs of seed (aka same genotype) will throw diversity (aka several phenotypes)

im not a geneticist and I don't have extensive breeding experience... im just throwing it out as I recall reading it many moons ago, so please those of you whom are technical junkies feel free to correct me if im off on something

while other packs of seeds will throw uniformity or fewer phenotype

theres nothing wrong with diversity nor is there nothing wrong with uniformity
there are pros and cons to both

it all depends on how there bred and in most cases a little luck

when I grow out a pack of something I like I take a mental note
where all the phenotypes from the pack beauties or where some of them dogs

if I want seeds that grow consistently good plants in know which pack will do that
on the other hand

there are elite clones bred to something
many times the offspring is diverse
I might grow out a pack and 1/2 the plants could be scraggly dogs but you get that 1 plant that stands out and looks like the original elite cut
in some cases there might be only 1 out of 50 or 100 that resemble the original elite cut

then there feminized seeds and self pollination and inbreeding which can potentially create uniformity but in some cases lose vigor or degrade the off springs immune system

very interesting thankyou for the info, all 12 of my seeds was feminized (4x blue og 4 x widow/haze 2xhindukush 2xwidow/bubblegum) and for example one og has huge buds one has standard and it is the same with the whole strains they are all have individual progression and successfullness . I am down to ten plants now on day 59 of flower as I just lost that one yesterday to rott and one in veg . I really want to pull them down tomorrow but I may regret it a lot so I'm stuck on the decision :( it may be weak bud :( . would an extra 3 days even make a strength difference , like harvesting on day 62 as the bag says and breeder states to do , as to opposed tomorrow on day 59? I know it completely depends on if the plant is ready itself but if I post some pics could it help to advise me on when ?
