iv got them in peat free multi purpose compost that has worm castings in it. to this I have mixed some coco coir. perlite and vermiculite for added drainage and better air supply. .. today I have bought some seaweed tonic but not give them any as yet .. I am going to transplant then into 11ltr pots todaysounds about right
correction to my last post!!!
those are small plants..so just dose them the one time
if your in soil you may not want/need to add it every time you water
when you repot into larger pots you may not need supplementation as often depending on whats in the soil and the pot size vs root ball and so on
as the new soil becomes depleted you may need to add some
but a fresh pot of quality soil should have magnesium in it
as the plants root zone expands thru the pot the magnesium become depleted
I suggested he add 1/4 tsp Epsom salt every time as if he was in hydro...oops
then realized
what id done and corrected myself
youll need to determine the frequency for yourselfiv got them in peat free multi purpose compost that has worm castings in it. to this I have mixed some coco coir. perlite and vermiculite for added drainage and better air supply. .. today I have bought some seaweed tonic but not give them any as yet .. the compost is an organic compost so got nutrient in for 6 weeks it says .. has got worm cast compost. composted bark. coir. wood fiber...it's the new horizon multi purpose compost . 100% peat free ..now I have bought sea weed liquid plant tonic. .. tomato liquid. . fish blood and bone powder. .. I also have coco A+B . .. boost accelerater. .. Coco bloom step 2 .. . Coco pk boost step 3 ...I did make up some coco a+b very small amount and a very small amount of tomato liquid and fed them last week twice with that . all the other stuff I have not used yet . any info on if any of it is any good or what ones to add together to use would be greatyoull need to determine the frequency for yourself
if theres not much nutrient/amendment in your mix you may need to use it often along with a well balanced fertilizer
as a rule of thumb id say add 1/4 tsp Epsom per gallon along with every nutrient solution feeds, when nutrient solution feeds are needed
yhea I only fed them the other week as the had been in there just over 2 weeks but as I say it was very very small amounts . iv just watered them today with a ltr of bottled water between 4 of them . don't like adding this I ain't sure on I really bought it all as back up incase I neededbe careful feeding nutes/shouldn't need any
if its got 6 weeks of food
