Surna sucks, but the rest of this article is a gold mine.
If you need an ounce a week, that's just 3.5 lbs/year. I can show you pics of 2 lb plants I've grown indoors and good outdoor plants will dwarf them. Give me a whole growing season and six stems and I'll smoke you and a buddy out proper for the next 12 months, easy.I think the 6 mature plant thing is daft. Many places' climate will only allow 1 outdoor grow per year. So, unless you can afford to set up an indoor grow, i.e. light, containers, substrate, electricity and nutes, You can't grow enough for a year.
All you do, is become a Tshirt shop. People buy a T from you for $600 or whatever, and then you give them an ounce 'out of the goodness of your heart'. nudge nudge,
it will be cheaper than tobacco for sure, faster and easier to grow, their will be zero money in it after 10 years, unless you live in a country where is illegal. If you need an ounce a week, that's just 3.5 lbs/year. You dont need lights, old school strains get big. Tis genetics. A mate had to rip up a 2 pounder due to a civil problem a few weeks ago. Strain was The Edge. http://en.seedfinder.eu/strain-info/The_Edge/Dutch_Passion/. No lights, not major amendments..it did get great training..low and wide. Not everyone has the skills to plant trees like that. Also factor in the time vegging under lights, and the large amount of soil and fertiliser some may need to do the same thing in poor soil.
'Tis the face of progress, strange as it may seem. This is a funny subject i bitch about often, as Im in an illegal state, and still have to compete with legal cheap weed coming from outta state. So people bitch about legallity, get it legalized, infux in the market because everybodys pursuing this "new booming business" . I mean why stay at at your shitty factory job when u can make it good in the bud business. Well now all this weed out there, the only people who make out good are massive grows that can afford to get rid of it 400 lb or whatever. And the people who cant will either look to black market out of state buyers who are more than happy to pay the asking price. So whyd you fight so hard for legallity when youre back to subjecting yourself to illegal risks. People fight to "change" the system, when the reality is they are subjecting themselves to the very system they intend to change. Waiving signs, shouting, petitions, all they say to the powers in charge is "we need your permissions to move foward, can we move forward now?"
True that^^^^^. I've often said I would punch a fucker in the nose if he offered me five bucks for a watermelon. I have too much money and sweat invested to take money for it. I feel the same way about my weed. I give a lot of it away, but haven't had to sell any yet.If a grower isnt willing to spend a little amount of time and money then they are kidding themselves about growing. Even people who grow good veggie crops spend time and money. More time spent= the less money needed.
i like your old fashion thinking.True that^^^^^. I've often said I would punch a fucker in the nose if he offered me five bucks for a watermelon. I've gave so much to my BIL to do smoke test on, he is complaining he never gets to smoke any of his.i like your old fashion thinking.
A mate popped in last week with some home made strawberry jam (jelly i think u call it in the states- the kind u spread on bread and toast) and tomato based pasta sauce.
Its nice when people spend time and effort and share the love. The jam is very good and im looking forward to my next spag bog (aussie for spaghetti bolognese)
Quick story.
i went to my sports night last week and handed another player some home grown MJ only to have him chuckle and hand me some of his own. Two like minded people with the same idea at the same time. We both had a bad year but both know that sharing is caring.
