thanks for the helpyes i got your email, see there
Do what cobkits mentioned or just tie a knot in the cord and lock in place with zip ties all kinds of ways to do it don't have to be fancy.I'm about to wire an extension cord to my meanwell drivers. How do I keep tension off of the connectors? I don't want anything to pull apart from the weight of the wire over time
Don't use the 18 gauge lamp wire from lowes when you go to pull the two strands apart it rips the insulation on one wire. Cobkits is looking into getting some single solid 18 gauge wire for us to use
some bjbs take 1.0mm wire, most (all the ones i sell) take 0.75 and cant fit over 18 GAHmm, I use 14 gauge romex for bjb holder's, it's a snug fit but it has worked better than anything else I've tried.
i like putting a probe down the center pins on the back of the heatsink to where it touches the base plate on the sink.if the sink is near horizontal and its a good probe its pretty accurate imo.Where you guys measure temperatures on COBs and heatsinks?
You are in great hands he really goes above and beyond for the members.Gonna take the plunge at DIY Cobs. Sent message @CobKits when you have a chance after things slow down today.
