i am currently growing about 4 plants in a 4ft4 height 4ft6 length and 1ft10 width closet with 2, four foot flourescent tubes one cool white, one warm white. and a spotlight for outside up above for heat. what would be a better lighting system for this room, becausemy last three grows the buds were very thin, almost transparent. i also have a hydroponics system with general hydroponics flora series nutrients if you think that would be needed. any advice would be helpful, thanks.

general hydroponics is the best out there, i would suggest the flora series, i recommend it to everyone i know. its the best building blocks, giving you the most control over your NPK for the plant. just follow the chart and it will be good. just dont over feed. as for lighting, try getting Phillips TL-950 48 inch 32 watt tubes. then if you wanted to try something more, which would help the plants, try putting some pink florescent bulbs overhead as extra light. but i suggest hydroponics mixed with HPS lights, it really is the best.

I'd think an outdoor spotlight would work best for necessary heat close to the floor, with maybe a fan blowing down gently from above?

Fill ever square inch with 4" Kord square pots and do a SOG, clones straight to 12/12 with no veg.
