First let me apologize for the "newbie" question..lol
I was wanting to get some feed back and watering schedules and what the best time would be to water(right when the light come on or right before they shut off) A little about my grow
4 white widow autos
1 mendo breath
3 gallon felt/smart pots?
Fox Farm Ocean Forest Soil
Not giving any notes yet
On day 30 from cup of water
2-600 watt LED lights
Lights on 18 off 6
I usually water every third day
Thanks in advance for any and all advice

There is no definitive answer to how often should you water. Best way is to let your soil dry out a knuckle deep and then water. Many environmental factors play a part in how much water and how often. So listen to your ladies. They will tell you. A couple of hours after you water your leaves should stand up about 45 degrees. When they're thirsty again they will start to droop a little. Hope this helps a little.

There's nothing wrong with them at all mate. They're growing nicely. How old are the ww? At what stage do they start to flower on their own. I've always wanted to avoid autos due to small size and yield. But timescales might just stack up to them being alright

We like nice and frosty. I was supposed to be running 4 green crack clones next but that's gone tits up. So I'm going to hempology next week for the wwxbb seeds. Get them started whilst these girls finish. Down in 90 is still not too bad really. Same as a clone just gonna be a smaller yield I'd guess. Purple kush will b nice though. I've built one of 4 scrogs today ready for my next run. Just the other 3 to go now

Watering timing is a tough one.
Main thing to keep in mind is that allowing the soil to mostly dry out increases o2 to the roots. Watering too frequently will result in the opposite.
Newly potted plants require more frequent small waterings, well established ones benefit more from spaced out heavy waterings.
By the time mine are in flower i can tell by the weight of the pot if they need watering, not realistic in large scale grows.
IMO watering and nutes should be treated the same, feed when the plant looks like it needs it. Overdoing either results in more problems than underdoing it.

Nice,i was thinking about putting a trellis net in my tent but it seemslike a hassle..have to remove all the plants and crawl under lights to attatch to tent poles...im not a skinny little guy..haha...ive been lookimg online at a gew other grows and ive veen seeing about a 2 ounce per plant on average....not 2 oz per plant would be nice, i havent done any lst or topping because all ive read on this site about just letting them run their course... definitely looking forward to harvest ti

Im using smart pots so they seem to feel "light" fairly quick...so i check the top inch and a half to see how dry..always feels slights damp but never dry dry...lol...i havent evwn started to use nutrients yet because i used FFOF soil and its a little hot... (note) definitely cut the soil 50/50 for seedlings.....

Heres a question i have about nutrients..
When you start to use the nutes, do you feed nutes everytime you water the plants or like every other watering?

The stardawg was topped once at the 5th node that was it. Pretty much been a butcher run for me to get ready for the next one. Harvest day is gonna be a good one. Smoking day will be an even better one haha. I'm gonna have to have a little play with the space in my tent to get it just right I think with the scrog but should pay off

When you start to use the nutes, do you feed nutes everytime you water the plants or like every other watering?
Personally, i feed every 3rd watering, at half the recommended dosage. Most plant deaths seen on these forums are victim to overfeeding, overwatering, or a combination of both. I have no experience with auto's but from what i have read, they dont like alot of nutes, and any shock can seriously effect your yeild. Keep it simple and you'll do fine.

I feed every third watering in veg usually but push that up to water feed water feed in flower. I tried full strength nutes and lost a few leaves to burn. Using ionic nutes at 5ml/l instead of 7ml/l and add pk boost at 2ml under recommended dose depending on what's in the bucket.

Main thing is to know that nutes aren't needed in soil. To maximize your yield they help, but overuse causes more problems than not.
The KISS method is more reliable than anything else...

So you only water feed during flower?

No I feed every third watering in veg. Says it right at the top there. I feed a bit less during veg because well my ladies seem to like it that way. I have been using ionic all the way through. So grow/superdrive and nitrozyme in veg. Bloom/superdrive and pk boost. I have plant magicmagne called for the couple of times leaves l spotted were turning slightly brown and spotty
