So my method of drying is remove the big fan leaves then hang the whole plant upside down. I don't do a wet trim.. when it's hanging upside and slowly drying it smells amazing the whole time. I dry and sample buds I pull off the branches every 24hrs after 4-5 days to see if it's dry enough to smoke. Once I smoke a nice blunt that doesn't taste like chlorophyll anymore and taste good I usually start trimming. Then throw them into jars and seal the lid. Problem is after 24 hours of them being sealed in a jar I'll notice the sweet danky smell is losing its aroma. I think my problem is that the buds are still pretty moist after I trim and jar them up. But I don't see how that would affect the smell and taste since I'm slowing down the dry process by curing.. I figured I'd see mold first. This run I only put a small amount of my harvest in jars to test it and it did the same thing. My plants are still drying and on day 6. On my last run I had a qp of some stinky danky OG lose its taste and flavor right when i started curing and I think it's due to the same issue of me not letting it dry out enough. I don't wait til the stem snaps I wait til the weed is smokable in a blunt even if it's very moist. What do u guys think?
