They do get a lil bit warmer than running 20 of em like before. But the cooling pad is working pretty good for dissipating the heat. Lights seem to be working great. A couple a questions...so what sizes are your square stock? How did you mount your LEDs to your square stock? And the cooling...does it just blow along the sides of the square stock? And when you say hot, have you measured the temp of the aluminum square stock at full power? Thanks.Just got everything done and hooked up. 36x 10w 12v cob led's driving off 375w 12v driver 30amps. Installed 2 rocker switches for each pair. 4 fan led cooling pad to cool off the all aluminum frame. I enjoy diy projects with my free time. When i was just running the 2 bars 20x 10w chips w/2 ac fans with 203w power supply i could hold my hand on to the bar for atleast 5 secs until it felt hot and when i would turn off the light it was cool to the touch within a min. Temps in box stayed around 75. Now with 36 of them i can touch it for atleast 2 seconds and then it feels pretty hot. Temps in box are about 82 now. I used artic silver thermal adheasive. The aluminum bars are 1/8"x 1" x 18" and the smaller ones are 1/8" x3/4" x 18" the cooling pad has four fans i just used 2 1inch velcro strips to hold it in place. The fans blow upwards pulling the heat. For the chips says max operating temp is 176f 80c. Ill look at getting a radar gun to use just stick a sticker on the bar it should work. I put a 2" fan on one end and it kept things cool...but like yours, with fan off it wasn't to long before it was really uncomfortable to touch. Nice. Ima redo my venting to. Box remodeling today. Sounds like u have a nice setup. Have u tried thermoelectric cooling strips. They r 1.5 x 1.5 perfect size for your square tubing.Thanks. Yup, you gotta remove that heat somehow or the peltier will literally melt.Let's not forget that with peltier coolers while one side can form ice the other side will just about boil water at the same time, hence the need for a heatsink on the hot side of the peltier.
Slow down the water flow and it may be more effective.Testing out the waters. flows like piss. Works decent. Used cold water. The bars got hot but didnt seem as hot if wasnt installed. Took about a hour for the water to feel room tempeature from continuous use.View attachment 3929597
