Hi all,

And sorry as well - still a noob, and I'm rarely sure about these things from looking at pics/posts..

My 3 plants are about 3 weeks old from planting from seed, and they are currently in the same res. Same strain as well.

Two of them are getting brown spots, and one of them also has yellowing lower leaves. Would you be able to tell from the pics whether I should be feeding less or more?

Res. currently has third strength lucas formula (2/4) and a little hydroguard. Ph is around 6

I always wonder about growers using third strength partial nutrient system while seeing partial results. I'd try to use the whole system if I were you, as directed on the bottle. these are underfed I would bet

Ph is at 5.7, and I only have a tds meter, idk re: conversion. It says 210 ppm, which has been stable since mixing nutes.

Res. temp is at 74, been getting lazier with the frozen water bottles.. Will work on getting that back down too

I generally start off seedlings on a light feeding schedule and work my way up to full strength. I can maintain consistent ppm levels this way (even though Idk what EC my res is really at).

It also seemed autoflowering strains may be more sensitive in the beginning. Jc, are you suggesting I start off my seedlings at full strength nutes?

I dont use any nutrients on seedlings until some leaves form. I use a 1/4-1/2 strength nutrient solution when they do, like you. but
you are subtracting essentials from your mix before you begin weakening their food.
I'm suggesting using the nutrient program in the way it is directed on the bottles as a complete system, checking those results, and adjusting accordingly.

I've grown with tap water that had higher ppm's for thought.....
how will you cool when they flower in there?

Just for snickers I went out and checked my EC which I haven't done in a couple of weeks, figured they looked good so don't fuck with it but I'm at 500 mS which is 320 ppm's and I gotta say they look pretty happy lol. But yes I will be taking that up a bit as I'm switched over to 12 now and the big lights comes on ;). I run pretty much where OP is at that size then crank it up to 600-750 ppm. :cry: these are at day 19, I might have stunted them by moving them to this current res too late..

Hydroguard works well from experience. Bleach and H2O2 work well also but need to be careful with dosage. There are other products that work well, just google but water temps are the key, I now use nothing and just keep temps at 66.

OP has a choice to make and that is spend the next 3-4 weeks trying to nurse them back and it can be done most of the time or chuck em. Then you need to decide if hydro is the right choice. IMO if you want to keep running flooded root systems you really need to keep the water cool, if not then perhaps DTW or Hempy. Yup there are some that run warm water but I can gaurantee your not getting what is possible.
