Hubby's been watering every day. I don't know how he does it. I'm glad to be growing herb indoor this year for sure. I envy your time on the trail though! I wish I got to camp out as much as you do. What a life! I love that country up there where you are...'cept for the bugs.

I'm waiting to start my full seasons this year. Last year was a struggle to keep up. And now my wife is retired, so there is more Honey Dew stuff keeping me out of the woods.

I was able to take 3 days and 2 nights this week, and two 2 day 1 night trips two weeks before that. When I ask my wife if I can go for a few days, she says, "you are going to be gone 6 months when you hike the AT, what is a few nights?" I think she is hoping I get burned out on it, and decide to stay home. And I might. That 3rd or 4th day you don't really feel like putting that pack on and walking all day. But each trip it is harder going back to the world. There is something about the simplicity of walk, eat, sleep that is really appealing to me.

thanks djj i got the old man home from hospital with hospice care he made me stop and get him new pipe and tabacky on the way took the oxygen off and tossed it in back seat stubboness at its finished haha they give him only an hour to live 4 days ago and now he is home again tough old guy for sure
Daddy had the big tank in the house that would last the whole month with plenty left over. But he only got a few of the portable tanks per month. He would shut it off to make it go further. There was just too much outside work that he felt had to be done. Several times we found him in the fields, turning blue. Turn the valve back on, and he was up and around in a few minutes. That generation of men were made of harder stuff.
