Plant all 5 seeds and pick the best 2 - a waste?

My Serious Seeds Motivation arrived just now. Can't wait to get them going.

Now... I only want to grow 2 plants, so, do I plant the 5 seeds and pick the best 2, or is it a waste of seeds to throw 3 of them away?

Are the seeds regs or fems? I would save back at least a couple for later. 5 seeds isn't enough for a major pheno hunt anyway.

They're fems. If I ever grow this strain again, I'll just order another 5 seeds.

The last grow I did I planted 2 seeds (Sensi Seeds NL5 x Haze) for 2 plants, one plant was miles ahead of the other, that's why I'm wondering if I just plant all 5 and pick the two most vigorous ones.

Only downside I can see, is that I have had plants that are 'slower' growing, that suddenly picked up and produced 50% more than the plant I thought was the 'better' one. If i had kept only one earlier on I would have lost out big style.

I keep 9. This time i planted 12. Wish i had planted 15. 1 didnt come up and 3 were slower. Ended up having to keep one of the runts.

I plant like 36 to keep 24 and still seem to end up with a couple of retards every time

Can't be arsed with cloning I don't have any space to keep a mother. Plus I get bored doing the same strain it's nice to try something different
