Hi all!
I am getting ready for my first grow and just killing time tightening up my research.
I have a Gorilla tent as the title states. I will be using soil as my grow medium. I will be using a 600w equivalent Viparspectra 285w actual draw LED light.
I am thinking of doing ScrOG due to the limited space. I'm not really interested in cloning ATM as my space is limited. I plan on popping beans and likely making new seeds a few times just to get my stocks up until my space allows for clones. Although, admittedly if I get a good pheno I will be hard pressed to not try and figure out how to clone it. Try to keep it bansai tree style in a tiny tent but I will cross that bridge if it comes.
I have seen ScrOG kits sold that are a 2'x2' wire mesh fence panels with the 4 thin rods that go down into the pot. These peaked my interest (I would just make my own) Does anyone have experience using similar ones? Is it a life saver working in that small of a tent?
The other thing I was thinking of doing was the traditional ScrOG but modifying it slightly into a pseudo "V-scrog". I would build it from side to side but maybe another foot up vertically on each end. I saw this in a YouTube video (possibly from a member on here I can't remember) and it seemed like a good idea to me. Squeezing every last drop I can out of my space.
If I do the 2x2 style I was thinking of a single plant in one 15 gal smart pot and call it a day. Alternatively, if I go the full length "V-ScrOG" I was thinking two 7 gal.
Any other input or advice is appreciated. If I missed anything that is vital please let me know. Thanks all!
